This is the ultimate player that United has to sign to up their game to the next level.
This is the Pogba that Mou and United were looking for; he is Carrick's perfect replacement.
At this moment in time with this United Team, he is rated higher than Messi himself.

Let's break all the banks, 100, 150 mills? He is worth the money and the money would be considered well spent.

I hope Ibra would have a word with him as I hear they are good friends.

Hope so. Would make perfect sense if we spend that 100 or so million we have earmarked to spend on Griezmann next summer on Verratti. This guy is the real deal. Would be a dream signing in every sense of the word.
But I cant see it happening unfortunately.

Marco is ten times the player Pogba is, and even more

If Manchester United want to up their game by a level or two they need to spend big and buy Verratti.

Pogba will not improve much, he has physical limitations to his abilities. He may improve in the course of the next few seasons but will not become the player that United will rely on to win games or control the tempo of the games.

Griezmann is a flashy signing that united can do without but Verrati is a necessary one unless United want to play for a top four place for next season and they dont have the aspirations to challenge for more.

Marco, in my opinion is the most valuable player in the world at the moment.

He should be our number one target. A necessity that justifies insanity if required.

Hopefully he will be. Carrick is almost finished. Top 4 is a priority for pulling off such a deal tho. Dont want Griezmann either.

He is the missing link.
Do not over estimate the current over-achievements which are more built on form and shear will rather than talent. It will all come falling when faced with a couple of impediments.

If it were me, I would pay north of 65mil and throw in Paul Pogba for free to sweeten the deal with PSG unless they ask for more compensation which they are entitled to.

Anywhere in the range of Paul Pogba and 80mil is a fair trade and anything less is a bargain.

Like I said, the United Bubble will burst anytime the intricacies pile over them. This team has been so disciplined and so surgically and methodically organized recently without a galvanized profound talent foundation.

You dont go play a team with Kante, Willian, and Hazard, arguably the best dribblers in the league with 7ft tall players.

That was a tactical mistake imo; but still United managed to play okay if it werent for the Herrera red.

Beware spending another 100millions over Greizmann, he is not the solution. This team of United are so mediocre, it's amazing how Mourinho is able to squeeze all that juice from them. Herrara, Darmian, Fellaini, Smalling, Jones, Pogba, Lingard...etc are simply just not good enough when it comes to competing at the highest level.

United are still not going to get far next season if they dont work on those weaknesses.

Martial should be given more chances.

Huntsman, am I detecting that you are a little displeased with Mourinho?  I haven't followed United much this season and I'm surprised that the guy who jumps ship to follow Mourinho with his every move is growing a bit disenchanted.

It's a pity if united doesn't make a world record offer to bring Verratti, the player who will make or break their seasons, now that he is available in the market.

Luckily they dodged Greizmann and his high price tag.

Mourinho won't spend big on a player like Verratti bro. As disappointing it may sound, thats the truth. First he has a similar profile of a player already in Herrera. Eventhough Verratti is superior and Ander can slot in the Busquets role behind a Pog and Verratti, still he is too light weight and short for a Mourinho CM. His recent injury record also come in as a deterrent and these people might think spending 100m on a position we already have some sort of quality wont be necessary. We are in dire need of a couple of attackers and the big money will go in that direction this window surely.

In case of midfielders, We are in the market only for a DM. A Fabinho or someone of that ilk we might end up getting but not a Verratti I'm afraid.

goals will come with the likes of Martial and Rash and the other forwards / poachers Mourinho will sign, but players like Verratti are once every generation.

A midfield comprising of Pogba, Herrera and Fellaini will crumble. They need a player who can lead the midfield and organize the tempo and hold more onto the ball.

Pogba is going to fail next season even more than he did the first season unless someone like Verratti does the ground work for him and he can be free to play an advance role where he can do some of his foot work trickery and shoot balls; at best he will be just playing like any other normal player.

United fell into the trap of signing him.

I dont see this united team going very far next season because they still lack the technical players upfront, in the middle and at the back.

What they can and will improve on is closing in on the gap with the top table by winning more points and matches which they have otherwise lost via drawing last term.

But is that all what United Fans want? Because let's face it; I dont see this team with its current blueprint going anywhere.

they are simply not good enough to challenge the big boys.

I agree. Going by this window's rumblings as to the kind of players we are linked to, its not inspiring much confidence tbh. Morata, Perisic, Talisca *sigh* !!
However keeping in mind the business we have done in the last couple of windows especially, when papers were linking us with every tom, dick and harry only for United to dodge those names and sign (overspend in fact) on quality (Martial, Pog, Mkhi), I still nurse hope of us pulling a couple of good buys out of the blue.

But if thats not the case and if its indeed the Morata's and Perisic's of this world, then I would seriously start to worry.

As for Verratti, obviously had we signed him, it would be nothing short of a dream signing. But as things stand as of now, can't see it happening.

Not magic, simply prevailing logic.

That end was obvious from miles away.
