They actually did. They were impressive at the beginning of the first half. Their pressing and positioning is superb even though they were never going to maintain that intensity for the whole game, even with 11 men. Barca's current mediocre form also helped them.

I maintain they are much much better than those Mourinho kick and rush teams though. Atleti actually can keep and circulate the ball and their players find themselves in great offensive positions, even in Camp Nou. But then, at some point, they go berserk with their aggressiveness and pull something totally stupid when there is absolutely no need to.
