After the successful third chapter of Witcher Saga, with over 10 million copies shipped worldwide, Gwent is becoming a stand-alone game according to a new trademark and logo registered by CD Projekt. The card game included in The Witcher 3 obtained a positive outcome, so much that Polish publisher decided to create a title for it. The trademark was filled with class 9 and 41 (videogames, software, etc.) into the European Union Intellectual Property Office two days ago (June 6th), with what seems to be the official logo. Here are the two logos and trademark.

curious to know exactly what it will be like though, I imagine it will have purchasable card packs or something..hope not for my wallet ffs

although if the game is free I don't mind buying a bunch of packs to get mah collection started Proud

Remedy ( of Alan Wake, Max Payne and Quantum Break fame) have said they have expanded into two studios, two new games in development and have a new partner.

Unless i'm reading that incorrectly they are going multi-platform, which to me is good as they are probably the most talented developer that was working exclusively for Microsoft.

Yeah it's kinda weird but not surprising. E3 is filled with lots of games and Ubisoft don't want their games to be drowned in them. i suppose they're going to show more gameplay in their show though.

Based on a few hints by insider shinobi602, it sounds as though Sony will be announcing God of War 4 and Knack 2 at their E3 2016 press conference on Monday, June 13, at 6pm PT/9pm ET.

In the Sony press conference thread on NeoGAF, shinobi602 said, “Would that be…good news?” when someone asked if Knack 2 was real. He then added, “Well, then…hey I got good news I guess. Lol.” after someone else said it would be good news.

Later on in the thread, he offered this God of War tease: “The question isn’t whether God of War will be there (it will), the question is…is Kratos the main character? Hmmm..”

E3 is almost here boys!!!! I'm expecting it to be meh as usual but the bantz will more than make up for it. I need to get my "not another open world" gif ready though.

Calma lol, they do this every year.

They just show stuff they don't actually plan to show so it gets some recognition and not buried by under all the hype of announcements.

All the stuff they are revealing now won't actually be at any press conferences and the stuff that is will show different parts of the game, be it actual gameplay, different modes or what ever.

The likes of Deus Ex and Watch Dogs, which are the relevant pre-e3 stuff i have seen will just show different stuff like actual gameplay or what not.

They are not stupid, if they were going to show this stuff they wouldn't release it before hand. Showing it now means it's not going to be shown and they want hype now or they are showing a different part of the game as well.

I don't think that's the reason tbh, they wouldn't be buried if they were actually good, a high quality game will naturally generate hype and people will talk about it in internet forums, also there are hundreds of gaming websites that will handpick the good stuff and highlight them after the shows.

No need to release 1000 teasers and trailers, makes you look like you're overcompensating.

Well yeah they would, no matter how good/bad Deus Ex and Watch Dogs 2 are if you release the info during E3 people are going to be talking about other games and not just your game.

Why do you think Rockstar never announce stuff here, it's so they can make everything about them. Unless you actually plan to show something it makes sense to show it now.

I don't see the fuss over it anyway, it's just Deus Ex and Watch Dogs 2 which are both confirmed to be showing more. The rest of the pre reveals are not relevant at all.

Andrew House, president and global chief executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment, told the Financial Times that the “high-end PS4” would be more expensive than the current $350 version.

“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” he said. “We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.”

The new console, which is codenamed “Neo”, will target hardcore gamers, he said, as well as consumers with a 4K television set looking for more high-resolution content.

However, in a move that may disappoint some fans, Mr House said that Sony would not be unveiling its new console next week and refused to say when or at what price the unit would go on sale. “We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety,” he said.

Nonetheless, he downplayed concerns that the move would cause interoperability problems between the old and new PS4 hardware.

“All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4,” he said.

Battlefront 3 has been approved for steam, let's hope Disney acknowledges the contribution such a community can make to the brand so we'll see.
