Would be shit if they copied the lore 1:1 tbh.

You can be inspired by it, but you should make it unique where possible.

Spoiler:
Baldur is nothing like the traditional lore either

Spoiler:
That's true, but I think the changes they made to Baldr are fair. The story explains why he behaves the way he does. Like I said, I don't expect it to be 1:1. It's different with Atreus. He's basically the voice of reason in this game, albeit with a hint of naïvete. That's so far off the original character, and there's no explanation for it, other than the fact that he was raised in isolation by his mom. I would expect him to change drastically as he grows older, and the loss of the only parent he had left could explain why he does change. A game based on Atreus' personality in this game would likely be boring, after all.

By the way, how the hell do you unlock Asgard and Vanaheim? Somehow, I haven't unlocked them yet, despite doing a very thorough playthrough with even killing all Valkyries and crafting all the best gear before completing the game. I can't seem to find a way to unlock them.

You don't lol, I imagine we'll spend time there in the sequel but they don't exist in the game.

Yeah it says on there that Odin has blocked the path etc etc.

Not quite sure why they even gave the visual representation of it tbh if it wasn't going to be in the game.

Spoiler:
I'm a bit disappointed that Atreus turns out to be Loki. His personality doesn't match with Norse mythology's Loki, at all. That said, he's still young in the game, and it's possible for him to change in a potential and likely sequel to this game. It would even make sense for him to turn crazy at some point, which would be an interesting similarity to Krato's past. Of course, the lore of the game doesn't have to match Norse mythology to the point of being identical, and in many ways it clearly doesn't.

The lore has been tailored for this particular game, and that's all good and dandy. I do wish they'd stayed true to the personalities of the original characters, though. Like with book to film, or book to game adoptions, It takes away from the immersion when drastic changes are made from the source material, and I would personally appreciate it if they stay true to the personalities of the original characters. At least, to some extent. From what I remember reading about Loki, he's probably the biggest asshole among the Norse gods. Known for being insane and "trolling" people by shapeshifting and f*cking up their lives. I even remember reading that he shapeshifted into an attractive woman and slept with a guy, as a means of getting him into trouble. He's definitely an interesting character, but the extent of his deviousness probably won't fit into a video game. Not even God of War.
According to the creator, Kratos arriving in Midgard is changing Norse mythology, so you can't expect it to be true to source. For all we know there will be no ragnarok.

Completely different NG+ in those games. And there are at least 3 endings in each of those games.

3 endings in games where there's no story to begin with? Seems legit.

Ah, I see. I play a lot better co-op than solo, and I've gotten pretty good at FIFA 18. I honestly can't remember the last time I played against someone else on co-op that I thought was better than me. However, I can't seem to win when I play together with my childhood friend, because he's just unbeliavably bad at the game, can't take constructive criticism without being offended, blames his kids, the ref, the controller, his internet, or the game, every time he loses the ball - that includes his 5th attempt at dribbling the ball out of defense on his own and conceding two goals in the process, when he doesn't know how to dribble. I don't expect much from a co-op team mate, but I'd rather play with a random 10 year old who doesn't lose possession 3/4 of the time at this point. The frustration is just too much drinking
