I thought Sevilla was after him...maybe it was just Emery.

Actually read yesterday that Nani was the one headed to Sevilla, and today it's being reported he is headed to Valencia. Afra went from Barca, to Sevilla, to PSG.

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
According to the article from l'Equipe, he was always waiting for an offer from PSG. PSG wasn't going to offer him until Umery was official. They wanted the sign off of their new manager obviously. Thus, the offer came yesterday and he accepted it. In fact, Umery called him personally to extend the offer.
He was just covering contingencies by getting offers from other clubs in case PSG didn't come through.

Really good signing for PSG. He's in his prime at the moment and ready for the big stage (CL).

Is PSG too much pressure for him, that's the big question.

Not good enough for Pardew and Steve Bruce though.

Fallen out with Emery. 4th match in a row he was left out of the squad.
Emery told him in training "You are no Messi. I don't have to pick you"
Southampton interested in buying him in Jan

So whats the deal? Work ethic? Behaviour? Or Emery being an ass?

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
Work ethic and behaviour. Emery wants discipline, he wants players to work hard. Extra mile. Be tactically disciplined. Ben Arfa is none of that. He wants freedom. Wants the team to be around him. Doesn't want to track back.

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
According to that Article in L'Equipe, Deschamps met him before the euros to discuss whether he could go and Ben Arfa said he needed to have a magnetizer with him at all time, so if he was called, his friend doctor would have to come to.
Deschamps was like wtf

He'll light it up wherever he goes. His talent has never been in question. Soton signing him would be a steal for them.
They miss Mane a lot this season. He'll surely lessen the burden. Tadic and HBA would be a nice partnership.

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
If he goes to Southampton he'll fall out with Puel.
Because that's what he does. When has he ever NOT fallen out with a manager? He's probably even fallen out with Puel before lmao.
Clown of a player. Quite obviously will never make it anywhere because he has shit for brains.

Pardew did the right thing in ostracizing him, complete utter waste of talent, needs to get his shit together before making Messi demands

Please don't talk about anything that you have no clue about.
That goes for most people in this thread tbh, Pardew benched him for Ryan *bleep* Taylor and Gabriel *bleep* Obertan for 6 months plus no reason at all despite the fact he would weekly be the best player on the pitch from 10-15 minute appearances. ( Pardew would even blame him when he couldn't save us points in sub appearances lmao)
What's more he never complained and even did what Pardew wanted from him, he had plenty of excuses to act like and would have been within his right to the media portrays him as but never did until Pardew started treating other players like crap towards the end of Ben Arfa's Newcastle career which annoyed him.
So considering he sat on the bench for 6 months at a time behind Championship level players and never did what the media want to have you believe i find it hard to believe he's making " Messi level demands".
But i actually support a team he has played for and don't believe everything the media and managers say because i know better.

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
You know better than every manager that he's ever fallen out with, obviously. Clearly it's just a big conspiracy.
It has nothing to do with his talent. Everyone knows he's a very talented footballer. There's obviously more to it than just what he brings to the pitch though. I mean he's not been a lock in the starting XI of any team since he made his debut aside from Nice despite his talent, so either he has issues or he's the unluckiest footballer on the planet to be constantly scapegoated.
You must be very close to the situation though.

Should have gone to Sevilla but choose to stay in his comfort zone in France instead of testing himself in a better league.

Says the managers and the media, both known for lieing and making themselves look good and distracting from their own failures.
I can only speak about what i know and i know that at Newcastle he was treated like crap and was highly professional for 99% of his time at the club.
I can think of many so called professionals who would have acted a lot worse and a lot faster than he did.
I'm not even going to entertain what's happened at any of his other clubs because i don't know what happened and neither do any of you.
But i'm not exactly going to act like Pardew doesn't have a history of treating talented players like crap like the rest of you are, i know he was treated badly at my club more so than any you seem to realize and i also know Pardew has a history of treating anyone who isn't his personal donkey like crap.

Re: official: Ben Arfa to PSG
But how do you know that he was highly professional? Are you at training? Are you in the clubhouse? You only know what you see on the pitch and hear in the media. There's obviously a reason he can't break into the starting XI at every team he's every played at despite being one of the more talented players in the world.

Has no idea how to play unless he has a free role. Within any structure, he just crumbles.
