Oh ffs
Time for Gibbs to come back in. Monreal is a weak link right now.

He isn't getting much support tho, every time Barrow has the ball he finds himself in one on one with Monreal.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
We love shooting ourselves on the foot don't we, why can't we show a bit of discipline. There is no need to fly forward when you have already scored three goals. Making things harder for ourselves as usual. Xhaka had to do it because almost everyone had gone forward for some reason., it was cynical but better than leaving Kos and Mustaphi exposed again.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
Walcott
Hit the post and bar - poor finishing on both.
Lucky against Burnley and lucky again today. Soon enough a team will turn us over if we keep playing with such an alarming lack of concentration. We let Swansea back into the game twice when we really should have won comfortably.

It's a win a suppose but good lord was it a srappy one, Theo could have like 5 today alone. A win after international break, I take it.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
Referees tried hard to *bleep* us up in this game. How many times were Walcott and Alexis through on goal only for that wanker to wrongfully say offside . Xhaka's red was not a red either, these kind of cynical challenges happen against us every week and they are never sent off.
Gibbs needs to come in for Monreal, I've said this for weeks but Wenger does not believe in proactive changes.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
I get that Monreal wasn't protected particularly well but it's a great concern that whenever he's up against a pacey winger, no matter how average the winger, he can't be relied upon. Barrow is a bang average player but looked incredible today. Amrabaat roasted him as well.
Same happened with Sagna as he got older as well. You know a full-back is losing it when he's getting done in a 1v1 repeatedly. And you know he's a weak link when week after week teams target him.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
The red card was harsh but deserved to be honest, a tackle from behind is a red so the ref had no choice. You can't blame Xhaka for taking him down, he was never going to catch the guy and he didn't want him to leave the defence exposed again. I am more mad at Monreal for flying forward and leaving us exposed again.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea (16/17)
Arsenal will appeal that red for sure. It's an incredibly cynical tackle but I wouldn't consider it dangerous or reckless play. We've seen plenty of tackles like that against our own players go unpunished.
If he gets the three game ban though he'll miss Middlesbrough, Reading and Sunderland. So a decent time to be suspended I suppose.
