Bensebaini is really damn good. So consistent and on top of that he's young. I can see him following a similar path to Ghoulam. except for the fact he's a CB but yeah

We're a modest team with modest players. Our best player is fighting relegation with Valencia.
Any half-decent team should be able to defeat us.

Re: AFCON 2017
We need a SS with quick decision making so badly. We have a bunch of wingers and dribblers with good technique but no one to actually feed slimani.
Just saying, if nasri played for us this team would be a few levels above where it is. As it stands we have no real link between our CF and midfield, leekens will prob see this tbh and play Bentaleb higher up the pitch

I guess the first match is on Sony Six/Sony ESPN, Check both SD and HD.
The Senegal match (Second match of the day) wasn't on, Probably because Real and Juve were playing the same night.

Re: AFCON 2017
Watching Mali vs Egypt now. Early in the game but Mali had the best chance yet and look the better team, so far. Ghana won earlier and for me they are the top team, even if Egypt have a bunch of stars on their shirt and I dont really know a lot about African football.
Seemed a time back in the mid 90's when lot of people-myself included-were saying things like, Africa will produce the next Pele, or win a World cup or at least make a final. Has not really happened and in my opinion African football has declined since then.
Having said that, I do like watching the African cup, whenever I can. Congo v Morocco yesterday was close, Morocco had more play, did come close to scoring a couple of times but never really threatened consistently.
44 year old Egyptian keeper just coming on which is an age record. Egypt just had a good scoring chance.

Re: AFCON 2017
Who are the favorites in the tournament?
Watching ALgeria-Tunisia. Good match. I would have thought that Algeria would be heavy favorites (being ignorant about Tunisia ofc), but this is pretty much 50-50 so far.

Algeria are shooting themselves in the foot. What a stupid penalty to concede.

Re: AFCON 2017
It was pretty even, but then giving up an own goal can be demoralizing and then giving up a penalty doesn't help. They (Algeria) looked a bit lost after that second goal and could barely put two passes together. Tunisia look more likely to get a third than Algeria getting one back. Have not seen a lot of Mahrez in the second half. Is he still on the pitch?

Re: AFCON 2017
Some proper time wasting by the Tunisian keeper there, right after a good chance from Algeria. Algeria now playing better, but it is too late. And the keeper is coming off now.

Re: AFCON 2017
2-0 now. Honestly, Senegal are through to the next round and probably have to be early favourites to win this thing.
Nice free kick, if I wanted to be harsh, I would say a bigger, better keeper would have got to it, but that would be me being very critical.
