Yea, it a good idea to force Casemiro's return and risk a season ending injury.

I hate to say "I told you so", but I actually did. I kept repeating that he needed to give Kroos some rest, that he needed to sub him out when there was no need for the German to continue playing.

A smart manager wouldn't have fallen for this mistake.

BTW Nick, you're wrong about Kroos being out for a month. He won't play again in 2016, that's a certainty. And if he needs surgery, he could be out for up to three months.

He'll miss the Madrid derby, the clasico, and FIFA Club World Cup and all the games in between.

The injury was sustained against Leganés btw.

You do know that it was a fracture, right? Not a stress fracture- so you can't rest a player to avoid it, it just happens.

ZZ would definitely have to play a 4-4-2 for, well, all the major ties (yes, it isn't just Atletico and Barcelona we have to worry about. Dortmund and Sporting de Portugal are very important matches which would determine where we finish in the group).

Must say, injuries are part and parcel of football so this is a normal thing to occur but what isn't normal is that, once again, the team is gonna suffer due to extremely poor planning on part of our transfers.

Not normal in the sense that this shouldn't be happening to a club like Real Madrid.

That being the case, start Ronaldo and Bale or Morata and Bale.

Midfield should be Modric, Kova, Isco and Lucas. Not the best defensive group, but best that we can do under the circumstances. I would also to play Coentrao over Marcelo, just to improve defense.

Thats if our manager had any kind of tactical versality but since he is tactically retarded he just repeats ad infinitum the 433 we inherited from Carlo and spent time learning (not a bad strategy). When he tried to be creative he produced things like the 424 we saw the other day and hopefully we won't ever see that again.

Our team balance Is so heavily reliant on a DM that it's still baffling we went into a season with just Casemiro. I still can't believe our "manager" let that happen. Yes it takes freak injuries for worst case scenarios like these to happen, by that's why we build a large team planing for worst case scenarios. That has not happened.

I personally expect Kovacic-Modric-Isco, its the best we can go with this positional footy genius. We will achieve per sheer talent, as always. In kovacic I trust.

@Danilo played for Santos in midfield many times but Moreno as a box to box than a positional DM. It can be experimented in training playing him either side of Modric or Kovacic in front of the defense

Another option for that 4-4-2 is playing Vasquez - Kova - Luka - Bale on the same line supporting Morata and Ronaldo, meaning Bale and Lucas play more as wide midfielders rather than wingers(basically the same thing it is just that they are ordered to drop deeper).

more bodies in the midfield. at least with lucas on the right, the central midfield won't get pulled apart.
