Re: The Movie House - Part 9
That scene where Shere khan killed Akela and rest of the wolves just whimpered out. That would terrify any kid lol.
Although I don't remember him chilling with the wolves in the cartoon though. I think he was hunting Mowgli instead?

Bearly remember the original tbh.
Was crazy though. Just imagine what they do with Scar and the death of Mufasa that scene scarred me for life in animation, what will it for kids in CGI live action

Excited for Alien Covenant, i maybe one of the few that liked Prometheus, although i think that has to do with me not watching the previous Alien movies

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
lmao you're watching too have it on in the background atm
vaguely remember it but there were so many of these films around them, couldn't recall Chris Evans or Ted from How I Met Your Mother being in it
absolutely shocking movie but I guess you gotta start somewhere

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Yea was channel surfing and got stuck on that . I watched it before (7-8 years back) when I was watching rest of the parody films. Hard to believe there are so many recognisable faces.
This was definitely one of the better ones though.

That film had some some insane eye candy. Specially if you watched it at 14-15

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
late 90s early 2000s went HAM with the teen movies and parodies
not even ashamed to admit I loved them all like a pleb at the time
all the teen slasher's, american pie, road trip, etc
we still got some in the late 2000s like Superbad and Sex Drive, but they seem to be dead now
probably for the best

can't lie, i am laughing. That whipped cream scene just now
Same. They were some great teen films of those times. Watched nearly all and enjoyed them too. Although Superbad is far superior to all of them imo. Don't think it was exactly the same either.

Superbad is a top 10 comedy.
I miss great teen movies tbh. Can't wait to see Edge of Seventeen, apparently it's great.

Something I miss about that era and that kind of movies is the musical videoclip they inspired, like Sum 41's "In too deep", or Blink 182's "what's my age again" and all the other videoclips in that fashion of that period.

Unsure on Lion King tbh. No human characters in it, its obviously going to be 100% CGI.

Na. It looks pretty daft tbh. I kinda enjoyed Prometheus as well. But that film had plot holes the size of an airbus. The sad part was it had huge potential when it began, in the end it turned out to be just an average-ish film nothing more.
As with this,, I see more or less the same at least from the trailer. Some morons without helmet going into a cave and beginning to touch a 'blooming', well..alien. Wasnt there an exact same sequence in Prometheus as well. The only difference being the shape of the thingy.
Ridley Scott's lost it imo at least when it comes to Alien movies. Fincher needs to come back.

Kinda agree tbh. Prometheus was very underwhelming and the trailer for Covenant did nothing for me. Looks like more of the same.

Zootropolis (2016)
As good as they said it was. Loved it. Great characters. Idris Elba voicing again

What We Do In The Shadows was so much better. Left me with to high expectations and I was let down personally.

Inside out (2016)
Man I found Joy so annoying.
Was a good film. Great concept. Bit dull at parts though. 1000% there is a sequel coming.
I was expecting it to be above 9/10 though tbh.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Reading through some of the old movie threads. I was an idiot in some posts. Called Requiem dull. Didn't post much though. Always weird reading your old posts as opinions and taste change
McAgger mentioned Source Code like 15 times on 2 pages. Think that was why I watched it. Love that movie so much.

Yea love Source code too.
My opinions change over time as well. Some films I considered amazing aren't as good as I thought they were while some films I didn't like on first viewing now seem amazing.
But above all, my taste changed A LOT over the last 5 years. Didn't like slow burners or heavy drama in the past but they are like my favourite now.
