I never rated The Hitman, I know he's heralded as a GOAT lvl wrassssssssstler but he was irrelevant by the time I started watching, wasn't worth much in his WCW run and I missed his WWE stuff. I probably would have liked him if I watched him, had a good look no homo and I always hear his in ring stuff was great.

Bret's GOAT period came between like very early 90s up until the Montreal screw job.

He literally lost all motivation for the business after the Screwjob though, i can understand why someone would see it that way.

I loved him though, because when i started watching he was at the peak of his powers.

Also i know a lot of people say he sucked on the mic and that's just a myth IMO, he was very good it's just in ring stuff outshined everything.

Also he was probably the best ever in terms of making it look like a legit fight, a lot of people nowadays could learn from him in terms of legit looking punches, selling, psychology etc etc.

Also i never said he was special, but Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero weren't special promos either.

They weren't meh either, but are known for being world class in ring performers.

Promos are impossible to gauge from a few clips lol, especially as hardly any from that era that are available.

He was not average, i'm not being defensive at all. I'm just saying without consistently watching you literally have no idea.

This is why i'm saying it's a myth because people who didn't watch have this idea that he's some ROH scrub promo wise lol.

Not exactly surprising considering he's the most pushed full timer by absolutely miles and they consistently give away his merch at over stock his merch compared to others.

It would be a disgrace if he didn't, we know there has been prolonged periods where that hasn't been the case and other led house shows out draw Reigns.

They can twist it anyway they like but we know he's a failure, give any other main event level guy his push and I guarantee they would sell a lot more.

Ambrose was #1 during his world title run. Also outsold Cena on Black Friday.

Imagine if he had half of Reigns's push.

The top face is bound to be selling a decent amount of merch anyway. If Sheamus was in the top spot, he would be to.

However unless you're rivalling Cena, it doesn't really mean much imo. Doubt Reigns is anywhere near him.

Right now if you look at the full time roster it's mostly just new generation superstars. There's no big time full time superstars like say a Punk or a Bryan. And the one who's been pushed the most out of them is Reigns. So it's not surprising he's selling the most merch.

Exactly, I wouldn't be surprised considering how they try to manipulate this shit if he outsold Bryan or Punk as well tbh.

We shouldn't underestimate how much WWE either try to practically give away free merch and overstock Reigns merch.

This sounds like a crazed conspiracy theory but they literally do this,  they can't get away with it during WM week though and I bet any money he's nowhere near 1st.

Last year the likes of Ambrose, Styles, Balor and the New Day who were no 1 were all above Reigns and I'm sure there was more.

It doesn't really mean anything in relation to Reigns popularity.
