What a strange signing, I could be wrong but it looks like Bayern bought James just so they can make a big name statement. Don't think they were linked with attacking midfielders at all.

It does yes. Don't know what will happen but , maybe i could see the other scenario come to pass if James rejects all other clubs and solely wants Bayern. Maybe he wants to play for Ancelotti again ? There's the world cup coming up , perhaps he wants to play for a coach who already knows him well?
