Best player on the field... probably Dybala even though he played but 30 minutes. Everything he touched was gold.

Everyone genuinely played well in a game we never looked like losing. Douglas Costa had a very poor game for his first stop. Mandzukic was uncharacteristically quiet too.

Rugani was very composed, didn't put a foot wrong. Benatia made a couple of very strong interventions. Sczsezny with some fine saves. Asamoah was fantastic down the left, always willing to go forward. Captain Lichtsteiner led the team well, solid match doing everything you would expect him to do.

Matuidi was dynamite. Pjanic continues he's fine form to start the season, I maintain he's the player to watch on our team. Another great assist today. I think the further he is from being a regista the better he is going to be. Sturaro wasn't even poor, this match is about his level.

Bentancur didn't play enough to judge him. Bernardeschi did more in 15 than Mandzukic and Douglas Costa did for the duration her played. Of course, the game was already won but the guy was pure energy, making runs, trying to score or create and got an assist for his troubles.

Asamoah fantastic !! Damn
I'm glad him & Licht stayed after all, they are always valorous warriors in such games. Seems like we'll use them until the very last drop of energy.

Being decent against Chievo is what Sturaro was born to do. My only problem is that Allegri will think he finally found his feet and he'll feature in an important match soon. Then expect a crap performance and a return to the benchio.

Bernardeschi is way better than Douglas, it's beyond obvious at this point. As i've said before Bernardeschi is the real buy, Douglas is a sub/joker who's gonna alternate between the great and the poor all Juve long.
More and more we'll see Mandzukic-Dybala-Bernar behind Higuain in the official 11.

Agree with Luca on all that.

Bernardeschi seems clearly better than Costa, I guess we all had predicted it. His connection with Dybala already looks like it's gonna be awesome.

Dybala... What a start to this season! Comes in and just destroys Chievo. 5 goals in A and 2 in the supercoppa  his connection with Higuain is all sorts of awesome.

Matuidi is what we needed too. His first touch is a bit off but he rubs his ads off and let's Pjanic dominate.

To conclude that Bernardeschi is better than Costa after a Chievo game is beyond ridiculous. Especially since Bernardeschi played when the game was already won and Chievo was beaten.

The whole team played a lot, and i mean a lot better when Dybala came in. Half of our attacking play is gone without Dybala.

As I've said in Juve section this year Dybala gonna beast and so will Pjanic so they are going for a great season unless injuries happen.
Dybala used to struggle while dribbling and kinda like Pogba tried to complicate things but now he does everything seem so easy.
Pjanic delivering some amazing passes and has more space to work towards opponents field since Matuidi provides good cover defensively.

We can't tell yet how good we will do in CHL or even Serie A this year but one thing is sure , with Dybala on form , Higuain upfront and new wingers it's gonna rain goals for our opponents. We are finally a more attacking team and now we have options on bench to rotate our strikers.

As for Berna vs Costa discussions I think Costa is more effective on the right while Berna is quite versatile.
It's pretty easy to bet that Berna will gel with the team sooner, he has Serie A experience , he's italian and more versatile than Costa.

But I think Costa will be quite important in CHL when we play against teams who don't mind leavig space behind when attacking. He needs that space and with him on the right and Cuadrado or Berna on the left we would be deadly in counters if we have Higgy and Dybala there to finish them.

Costa will need some time to adapt just like Sandro or even Dybala. That's how Allegri introduces new players.

The game at Inter was interrupted for about 4 minutes because of VAR. Plus the penalty itself and the celebrations, about 6-7 minutes. Laughing

MOTM Skriniar  , he remembers me Vidic as type of defender. Hoping  he continues so and not  regressing as Murillo did

We didn't play great match , but it's ok . I feared this match as most matches after the NT break . And for me SPAL is legit. I think they will get saved this year. Team good assorted, Marco Borriello and a capable coach ( I think Semplici will make way. Dominated last Serie B ). Tied 0-0 against Lazio in Roma.
Considering also our past awful league , I wasn't totally confident on a victory today.

I am not Italian nor have any interest in Italian football or clubs. Just an outsider perspective. Italian competition is dead. No wonder, Juve can't crack it in Europe lol. The value/prestige of a trophy is only as high as the amount of competition/rivalry. Juve win easy beasy micky mouse league, and they think they can stand a chance the best in Europe. lol

Montella going prime Allegri with his selections.

@es why are players like Calhanoglu and Andre Silva on the bench in place of Montoleader and Borini?

@interman that's far from true. Roma and Napoli broke their individual points record last season, Juve is just better. Also, this is the most competitive Serie a in 10 years so I'm not sure your comments are best suited to this season.
