Diego costa will be superb for OM tbh. Sort of like how falcao has been for monaco. Btw, the french league is shapping up to be pretty hot this year. So many things going for them especially on the media/publicity front, which is a very big factor.

Its laughable how these "experts" went missing in his first 2 games when he put up absolute world class exhibitions. Of course, the ligue 1 was too damn easy for neymar. Then the first game he doesnt score then boom! They all appear to give their "expert" opinions on how hes so obsessed by being the main man, dribbling everyone and by not giving a damn bout his teammates. Hans, as usual even finds a way to show contempt and hate even without any tangible reason. If you dislike him and his talent then stop watching him and quickly gtfo, instead of spewing negativity every single time. Its getting old now. God, Absolutely shameful tbh.

He was trying to show off. The first 2 games... the opponents laid off of him and he had room to do it. In this game, St Etienne decided to take Neymar out of the game and dare the rest of PSG to beat them. It's up to Neymar to show patience and the rest of the team to make the opponent pay for such tactics.

The midfield wasn't in sync because Pastore was atrocious, Motta was forced to sit very low mostly as a result and Rabiot was caught in no man't land as a result. Verratti is very important too and he was missing today.

Alves and Silva absences were also felt mostly technically. Kimpembe and Meunier were excellent defensively.

I watched him in his first game as well, it has no correlation. You cannot somehow excuse Neymar for this game, it wasn't PSG's fault or ASSE's, it was his.

From the first moment he was looking to show off. I think it was just after the 5th minute when he should passed right (to Di Maria?) in a breakaway, but held on until they fouled him for no reason. Then after maybe 10 or 15' when he was trying to dribble a group of people, and leaning back against a ASSE defender, and Neymar took it way too far. He turned a full 360 leaning against him until eventually giving a back-heel pass, which went misplaced, which turn into a foul on PSG's favor.

So from the opening stages he was being ridiculous, it wasn't so much about tactics from ASSE. It was the kind of game where he 100% should have been subbed off early, but you know...

Monaco beating Marseille 4-0 just on half time ffs Very Happy

Im pretty sure not that many years ago, French league was pretty ordinary, with scorelines 0-0, 1-0 the most common, etc., but over the past few years its really become much more entertaining, lots of goals often, at least with many teams, more budgets, more stars, better teams, everything.

PSG wont be able to run away with it it looks like if Monaco can keep up.
