After 4 games, our all time leading goal scorer is back and I would say this with all the love in my heart: I missed the little shit. Also, here's some team news:

Kova and Benzema are out for a while so forget about them. Marcelo is back as well as his two game suspension was quietly reduced to one after a successful appeal. Just Uncle Flo things really. Kroos would probably start this one to rotate with Luca. Really shame about Kova, this would have been a match he would have probably do well in.

As for Betis, who cares? Ok, so they are 2 wins and 2 losses. Wins at home and losses at home so it maybe another loss for them away. One of my favourite footballers ever is in decent form (Joaquin) but he is a bit too old to truly trouble Madrid like he did when he was in his twenties.

Potential line up would be done by Hala...or someone else.

Or ZZ might want to rotate the midfield and defence like he so often likes to do. If so then perhaps Nacho for Carvajal, Mayoral for Modric/Casemiro

Carvajal is 50/50. Either brilliant or clumsy. Nothing in between.

What happened to Carvajal? Most promising heir to the world 11 RB throne seemed set for him. When I watch him now he has the first touch of a midtable championship side in england.

It's a bit unimaginative doc... cross, cross... and then cross some more. At least there's CR so odds are that one of them will eventually get there. Not all that attractive however.

I didn't find Isco particularly good.

Not sure why Asensio doesn't start.

Crossing work ed last season beca use we had many tall physical players. We sold half of them in the summer. There is no point anymore

Kroos, for reasons only known to God, can only shoot high, high and wide or straight to the keeper. I swear he could have shot from long range. Bale actually regressed more than he usually regresses and what a suicide strategy coming down to the end.

Next match is away to Alaves. Wonder how that'll turn out...

CR had a poor game, but he was unlucky on two occasions - where his back heel shot was intentionally blocked by a defender on the goal line who reached out his shoulder, and when a defender slipped/threw his body in front of him when he would've otherwise been through on goal. The team was poor overall, but those two situations should have been penalties. Video refereeing would've definitely caught those two episodes, but clearly none of the refs did.

So the ball really did hit his arm.

The replays showed him intentionally stretching out his arm/shoulder. It would've been a goal if he hadn't.

We create a ton of chances...  but none of our strikers can score.  Not one of them.  Even CR went missing today.

If you're bleeding goals and aren't creating chances, then you really worry.  But we concede a goal here and there because our strikers can't score and we have to go for broke late in games...

The opportunities aren't even that difficult.  We just don't even hit the target so you can't score if you miss everything! It could be an empty net and you still can't score if you *bleep* miss the target!!

And when CR goes missing, we need someone to be able to score... not one player we have did that. Bale should play on the midfield or hit the bench, even mayoral can finish better then him.
