Yeah I should have been talking about attackers. It's obviously Klopp hasn't the same pull with defenders, else he wouldn't have to pay a record transfer sum for some Dutch guy from Southampton.

No. His contract expires in June, so he can sign for another team 6 months before that, i.e. from January 1st
Every scenario involves Goretzka going to another club in June, not before.

Anyway, I strongly believe Bayern wont miss out on a young German international who can become the mainstay of their midfield for years. Surely he has to be bound there.

Oh come on. Naby alone wouldn't be much improvement on Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milnar, Grujić whatever. We need a good CM as much as we needed a good CB.

probably for the same reasons you lot are over looking him in favour of a move for emre can. And also Lemar would be a better replacement for coutinho.
