if he moves for 30m his total career transfer fee to date would be 80+ million ffs

he has like 60 career goals ffs and most of those came at Newcastle

tbf he has only played about 100 games in that time.

The weird part of this is that they are targeting another player who is pretty much like Morata but way less technical.

Carroll is nothing like Lukaku, he's literally only good in the air. Lukaku has good passing and awkward but effective dribbling. He could also do 3 laps of the pitch before Carroll did 1.

From various sources, Chelsea ask about Emerson. From the London meeting (a few days ago) with Pallotta it is clear that Roma has to sell to stay solvent, and to buy. Monchi would rather sell Emerson abroad than in Italy. Strootman and Peres are the other possible options to be sold in January.

I'd still love to sign him even if it meant a formation change and I know it won't happen

The thing about London and Pallotta is true. That's not part of the rumor. The Nainggolan thing seemed true but not sure. It looked like it was gonna happen and then according to the rumor Nainggolan pulled out.

Monchi's answer on Nainggolan moving to China was "so far we've had no offers".

I guess the smoking thing soured relations and the fact that he can bring in the most bank means they are open to selling him.

Haven't watched Emerson but I've heard good things. Would he be able to make the step up?

I really want us to sign Telles.

I've watched both , also because Telles played in Inter.

Emerson Palmeri is really very good. There is just a doubt: we don't know how he is after the serious injury

Telles is mediocre instead, you can sign better than him

No contest between Emerson and Telles.the first is easily better, that is clear

Have you watched Telles this season? He has been the best LB in the Portuguese league.

Emerson coming back from an ACL isn't great, we have Baba in the exact same situation and we're not keeping him, so weird we'd want another LWB who is in the same boat Laughing

Being serious when I say this, for us Carroll was being only good in the air isn't really true tbh.

He was quite good on the ball, could shoot of either foot and was quite good at making runs.

Injuries ruined him and later clubs thinking he was just a battering ram you hoof to didn't help.

We never used him like that.

No contest between them. Telles is a scrub, he looked so out of his depth at Inter. Couldn't defend at all. Emerson looked like he was the next best LB around before the injury. Juve is linked with him if we sell Sandro, or maybe even if we don't as well. The injury is the only question mark.

I'd let this slide if I liked you, but if you divide something by 25% - i.e. by 0.25 - it's going to increase the original number, not decrease it.

Considering your math skills I'd say West Ham have got probably around a dozen offers for Carroll. Would be mad to sell, though.
