Don’t knock him, Nick. He did make a difference today in a third level futbol game. The real challenge is how long can he go before tripping over himself again!

But he, as our winter signing, is our last hope.

Can’t count on our CFs, starter nor the one who should have been loaned out. We can only hope Ronaldo can pick up some form. I’m not overly concerned about rest of team, but without a front line to count on, we walk home empty handed!

how am i knocking him? Having Bale back is a good thing, he is a great player when on form, and he allows us to play more vertical when he is on.

But people thinking we will sign someone in January are dreaming

Don’t take it so literal, Nick. I’m just saying we need him if we are going to have any chance.

Re winter signing, yeah I hear you. What I would hope for is someone who can be a backup CF and sent Mayoral out on loan. But you are right the only realistic option is for Bale to return playing well and stay healthy.

But that also is another issue! Will Zidane do the right thing and bench Benz to play Bale? I doubt it and so Isco returns to bench!

BBC is untouchable lol, Isco will go to the bench

Oh I didn’t realize you were being serious. Guess I should just shut my mouth and sit back and watch Zidane, Benz etc pull it all together!

Well, that didn't take long. I should have been more serious with this yesterday

That sounds standard to me. He hasn't played in 2 months, they are trying to be as careful as possible when rotating him back in.

I understand the hesitation from the forum, but any player coming back from an injury stint like that will not be rushed into 2 games back to back. There’s too much of a risk for relapse, especially in Bales case

This isn't some precautionary measure they've taken despite him being fit and well. He isn't even training with the team. I understand if he wants to take it slow but why would he not even train with the team, if he was fit. Last time they made that excuse he went awol for nearly month and a half. I don't trust anything that comes out of him/the club regarding his injury status

You at least make the bench deez... players come back from ACL injuries and, once they're fit, they don't start all the games obviously. But they are available as a sub. Reason is that you want them to go through the whole routine of being part of the team again. It's not like we don't have plenty of guys who sit on the bench who never play lol.

I don't like that he's not being called into the team. It sounds fishy.

Mayoral has more goals as well if my counting is accurate. Anyway, was hoping that lob on Casilla scored. Would have been the most entertaining part of yet another dreary display of whateverness of football.

Kiko reminds me alot of Diego Lopez. Both of them are always in no mans land, Diego got lobbed by Sanchez from outside the box, Kiko nearly let in one from the half way line.

No idea why he was off his line to be honest. Need positional experts like Nick to tell me why.

I missed the game. How did Ceballos perform? He's being heavily linked to Liverpool as "Coutinho's replacement", which sounds like complete rubbish, but that's what the media claim.

Not his best game, was very involved but alot of pointless vertical passes and lost possession a few times. I am going to put this down to having too many wingers in the team, at times both he and Llorente were so isolated the only players they could pass to

The only one of the fringe players who impressed was Vallejo.

Would've said a nice halfl if not for the stupid goal conceded. Asensio has been dissapointing but happy with theo's performance. Ceballos doing what Asensiso is supposed to do which is to create. When was the last time he had a good game...
