Now we’ve got a team without attackers and no style of play. Absolutely disgraceful team.

i dont know how you cannot be angry when we are 8 points behind in november, this is laughable. not even Benitez was having results as poor as this.

Um, yes he did. Let's not rewrite history now. That being said, all Madrid fans supposed to be absolutely livid after this. 8 points behind and November is approaching. We also have CWC which adds more strain on any squad. Man, this is not looking too good for us at the moment.

I don't think there's a team in Europe that have wingers that cross as badly as ours. How many times did Asensio put a good ball in? How many time did Lucas not run the ball out of bounds? It doesn't help that Ronaldo and Benz are practically at eachothers heels. How about one comes nearpost huh? Towards the end I just felt really bad for Isco. He was defending, moving the ball up, creating but the rest just let him down time and again. Ronald0 can go on his tantrum all he likes, we should play an extra midfielder, Benz just takes up a spot that can be given to Ceballos/Kovacic. Also it's the veterans that are letting us down, Marcelo with his usual lazy ass performance, Ramos with his customary nobhead game playing everyone onside, Ronaldo making the wrong runs, Modric and Kroos not creating nor defending. Usually I'd say play the bench but we have no qualify on the bench bar our CMs and CDM. We should just stick them all in there together with Ronaldo. If he doesn't like it he can f off

Asensio's crossed are usually great.

Vasquez is so terrible, cant make a right decision. cant cross.

Modric has been way below is level.

Benzema is slow and lethargic.

Ronaldo and Benzema cant and should not play together.

Isco running around everywhere is ruining the midfield structure and balance.

he is serviceable but plays too much.

Lucas isn't being put in the best environment to be effective. His main quality arr his crosses, they work when there are strikers in the box. They wont work with only Ronaldo. He isn't the only one who's been underwhelming this season though so lets not single him out

The problem is his constant chances despite being white Faubert.

On the bright side, this type of performance will force Madrid to make changes next summer... which will really be 2 years overdue really.

I warned this on my old thread about tough decisions. that success would retain the status quo whilst failure would bring winds of change.

The Girona rematch and Madrid up 1-0 already. That half season shit show really fked us over.

We have played really well. We had a goal ruled out incorrectly. And wereally really need to improve our setpiece defending. We are conceding one every game these days

Forget Ronaldo a bit, when would Benzema actually shoot the ball? Swear I always tell myself I won't get angry but every time, every single time he raises my blood pressure.

Doc... you're judging him on shooting and goals.  That's not his job.  He's a modern striker.  He's looking to strike his teammates as opposed to goals. He's world class at striking his teammates.

Stands to reason that a player stands in or near the box just to systematically pass it off.

I will say that he should have an assist, if we're being honest.

But still... if he's not going to shoot, put someone else in the box.

Benzema has actually been good today.  Very good.  

Our problem is that very few of our players can defend in the air.   Varane, Ramos and Casemiro.  Nobody else is even passable. Marcelo and Carvajal are woeful. Kroos doesn't even try... so hard for us to play him as the holding mid in big games.

No he was truly excellent.  Great game by Benzema, which is the reason he was subbed off and got so many applause.  Played as a 10 today and did it well.  Our play was very beautiful overall.

Our set piece defending is abysmal however.  Mainly because, other than our CBs, nobody knows how to defend those.

That's the black eye on an otherwise very good performance imo.
