First of all, why isn't there an Afghanistan flag when setting up my profile? Secondly, this is the first time Afghanistan has went to the finals in this tournament. Thirdly, it was a biased game with no support for Afghanistan. And lastly, it is just Afghanistan, since when are they a high talent football team?

India by itself is a huge market that can sustain watching a national sport.

In this case, the national sport is cricket. So, for football to progress, it has an extremely high hill to climb in coming close to cricket's popularity for any interest to generate good players and teams within the country.

Most kids play football until they are 18 casually and then give up even if they are invited to other academies locally or internationally since internationally they do not get a work permit due our passport being shit and India not being included in sports visa exclusions for most countries. There is no money or future in the sport unless you are willing to risk the fact that if even if you make it to the bottom level teams in the first tier, you will struggle financially post retirement. I played throughout my youth and teenage playing for my school team, uni team and even playing district & state level football but my commission per game was €1.5 per game and I had buy my own shoes and kit. Even here in France when I and other Indians played with our International friends, they were all surprised that Indians can play decent and had great game sense at the grassroot level.

It's not just Football, I was in Brussels and I met a chef in Mcdonald's at 3am who was selected for an U18 international hockey training session with India in Belgium but he chose to take a residence permit of Belgium as a student from a shitty school rather than take the risk to play a sport. He works at the Mcdonald's just outside Grand Place, might still be there if you try lol

On topic, seeing that you're 3rd in your quali group behind Qatar (fair enough, the rich bastards) but also Oman (more like.. Onan, he he, right? eh?) surely producing a good Indian NT must be regarded the great project of humanity for the 21st century, maybe right after battling the climate catastrophy.
