I never want to hear about him ever again, even if he scores 50 goals in Serie A

Another one today

15 goals and 6 assists in 12 Serie A matches
19 for the season

Flopped hard against Sweden but should comfortably put together his best season

Of course it matters, but I repeat, he should comfortably put together his best season. His best season, as in his personal best.

Lets be clear, he's not a World Class player, the title is a click bait but 15 goals in 12 matches with 6 assists is not a joke and his play has been great

We can sit here and pretend that you've watched 5 minutes of any Lazio match or you can return to cursing your own team that is starting a front 3 with less goals than Immobile combined

damn impressive numbers, still think he moves to a top 3 team in Serie A eventually

Napoli, Roma (inb4 he gets killed) or Juve in a year or two

Lazio are a selling club

I think Lazio is about his level, the play suits him. He's from Napoli if I recall correctly so I can definitely see him play for them

He was our youth product, I don't see him making a comeback

Immobile can't come back to Juve.

Yes, he is from close to Naples. He could definitely move there.

Anyone who can score 19 goals by mid November is of course good enough for us. This is of course assuming that Immobile continues to cement this level. Not that it matters, he can't come back.

He is tailor made for Napoli though. The problem is that Lazio would demand too much money for them. Have a hard time imagining them dropping the cash needed to get Immobile.

I could see him making a big move to Inter if they sell Icardi. Most likely he stays at Lazio.

why can't he come back

is there more to the story besides him being a former youth player? plenty of clubs over here have re-signed youth players years later

only have to look at us and Pogbito

Nope. Immobile burned those bridges down to the ground. Choosing to stay at Torino instead of coming back. Rejecting us after the cappocannoniere season, wishing to join Napoli instead because they were "his team" instead of Juve who owned him.

So he can't come back because he made the best choice for his career?

Seems very mature.

Choosing to stay 1 more season at Torino (Juve's local rivals) was fine because it was probably the best career move.

THen one year later: choosing to develop an aggressive rivalry with Tevez. Choosing to say openly that you reject returning to the team that owns you (Juve) because you are Neapolitan and want to join them in the future (who were at the time, and still are, our main rivals) is not a matter of choosing the best for your career. Its burning bridges.

Immobile could have said that he didn't feel ready, or that he felt that he should do whats best for him somewhere, etc. But coming out to say that you would rather play for the rivals of your team is a way to ensure you can't come back. Balotelli-esque.

Its a matter of how he did it. Immobile didn't want to return and made sure that we sold him. So from a Juve point of view, it is silly to consider that he can come back. Same for a hypothetical return of Balotelli to Inter after wearing the Milan shirt as an Inter player.

@mole, that's a pretty valid reason to be fair but yeah, the past can be just that. I am convinced we won't go for him though, call it a gut feeling and I also don't think he fits our play

More of an Il Gallo fan myself, if you know what I mean

I would take him because he is playing great and we have no alternatives to Higuain. I don't dislike him for being honest and thinking about himself.

His relationship with Juve is the issue for a hypothetical transfer. My posts weren't what I think of him, but want has been in the media about him and the club. Last thing Marotta said about Immobile was that he was good forward but remarked that he was not a great player.

No doubt. He even has 6 assists in the league on top of the 15 goals.

So far his best seasons (in Serie A)
17/18 Lazio: 15 goals + 6 assists
16/17 Lazio: 23 goals + 5 assists
13/14 Torino: 22 goals +3 assists

Aye, I mentioned that in the post just before that one.

His overall play has been incredible but of course the goals is the talking point. He is on pace for an enormous season. I expect him to hit 28 league goals at least, any less would be a confusing end

I don't think he'll hit Higuain's 36, at least I hope not
