Good game of football. It should have been 1-1, but they have earned their luck, it seems.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
Well, that's it the first loss in the PL, certainly could've done better but away at City was always going to be difficult. Still a shame we couldn't at least keep 1-1 but it's football you gotta lose eventually
That first chance though, I think I saw somewhere that it was 1.2 cm off the goal line ffs

City were the hungrier and better team on the night, blame Klopp for the sitting back tactics.

Gives a good indication of where you stand. You're a well functioning team that is well and consistently above the average, but not at the level of the real top teams.

Now that I rewatch our goal vs City damn what a team goal that was, the build up to it was amazing. And the Mane shot that hit the post would've been a crazy goal as well. We were unlucky on the night, our shot to take the lead hits the post and bounces off, their shot hit the post and bounces in, it was a cagey game, they dominated in periods but it was expected at their stadium, but our chances were much better constructed imo, and we had our periods as well the possession was 50-50.
Anyway they targeted Lovren and he had a nightmare and gifted them 2 goals but it is what it is. We had our share of luck this season already, so we can't have it every game, in tense games like these moments decide the game and a bit of luck ofcourse.
And I think we shouldn't complain about the midfield, Klopp had a plan and it nearly worked when we almost took the lead and Stones cleared the ball 1.1cm off the line, it's not Klopp's fault Lovren was playing for City so we had to chase the result with that midfield.

vs. Wolves in FA Cup:
Alisson; Milner, Lovren, VVD, Moreno; Fabinho, Naby, Lallana; Origi, Sturridge, Shaqiri
Badly need to rest the front-three while provide some meaningful minutes to Sturridge, Naby etc.

You serious Unique ? How did we reach the CL final last year then? We lost against City away in a cagey game of fine margins, it could've gone either way. We lost against PSG away but we destroyed them at home, and last season destroyed this same City in 3 games with a weaker team. This is reactionary as fuck, we can destroy any top team at Anfield as we shown already.

@Unique and you shouldn't forget that Fabinho and Keita aren't fully bedded in the team yet, when they are, we are going to be much better, and ofcourse when Matip and Gomez return, playing with Lovren against City was like playing with 10 men.
And we're still top of the league without all that, so just chill and enjoy the ride

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
since klopp came we played city in a final and lost it. We played Sevilla in a final and lost it. We played Madrid in a final and lost it. Had we beat City the other night it would have won us the title but we lost it. We are making a bad habit of losing the most important games.BusterLfc wrote:Unique wrote:could it be klopp gets found out in the very big gamesHapless_Hans wrote:

Yeah because it's Klopp's fault that Lovren was playing for City and that Stones cleared it 1.1 cm off the line. You always throw everything at Klopp, but the players are the ones playing the game. And it's certainly Klopp's fault Karius forgot how to play football And you say we always lose important games, so Napoli game in CL wasn't important? Or City in the QF last year,or Roma SF? Every PL game is equally important and our first loss came in january to the current champions away from home, you are too negative
If we got destroyed against City I would blame Klopp but it was a tight game and luck wasn't on our side, and we are still top of the league, how do you blame Klopp for that?

klopp has been here for 3 years and if Lovren is still giving away games and goals then it is 100% klopps fault. Not only has klopp failed to replace him he is still giving him games.BusterLfc wrote:Unique wrote:since klopp came we played city in a final and lost it. We played Sevilla in a final and lost it. So it's Klopp's fault both Gomez and Matip got injured? If they were fit, Lovren wouĺdn't play that game, but he was the only other fit CB, had no choice but to play him. Tell me which club has a better 4th choice CB than Lovren. So no, Klopp hasn't failed to replace Lovren, Gomez replaced him in the starting 11 long time ago and Matip is ahead of him as well, but unfortunately both were injured for this game.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
lovren has been costing us goals and games for years and klopp kept him at the club and now it looks like he has cost us the lge title. The guy is a liability and keeping him at the club and you run the risk of having to play him and he ( as you saw the other night can destroy years of hard work in one game ) so klopp sticking with him has cost us the lge title. Matip is also gash by the way. We only have 2 good centre backs at the club and if they get injured it’s goodnight. Klopp has done very well to get our defence as good as it is but it’s also klopps fault that we are left with people like Lovren on the bench.BusterLfc wrote:Unique wrote:klopp has been here for 3 years and if Lovren is still giving away games and goals then it is 100% klopps fault.
