I think every Chelsea fans wants to know that too, in general what they heck have they been doing. Roman personally got involved in the Sarri and Jorginho transfer, after the whole thing got dragged till mid July.

The DOF resigned almost a year ago. Marina Granovsala is the acting DOF and the biggest decision maker after Roman. I really would like to know this woman schedule.

I doubt Marina sleeps, tbh.

Lots of calls for Ballack to take up the DoF role, and I would be ok with that.

Also, DoF doesn't make any transfers, he just makes suggestions to the board based on scouts. DoF is a bridge between what the coach wants, who the scouts suggest and who the board think we need. Still, no bridge makes everything harder.

In most cases, what you wrote would be very applicable but I don't think this one counts as that.

Chelsea knew for a good while that Courtois had legit desires in going back to Spain particularly Madrid. He even reportedly rejected an increase in wages which would have seen it doubled. The signs were very much there that this was a player who wanted to leave. And now, in his final year of his contract, is refusing the report back to training in a legit show of protest.

They could have easily gotten a 40 mil from Madrid who seem hell bent on replacing Navas every fking year but for reasons I wonder if Chelsea fans even know themselves, decided to either play hard ball (which is not working) or just dragged their feet on an issue that has become quite problematic.

Courtois has been rejecting contracts for over a year now. We only have ourselves to blame.

We clearly wanted Alisson earlier this season, and I think we've been stumped for back up options since.

dude the guy signed a contract. he has no legit reason to go on strike to protest. he is sulking like a dick because he wants a move to madrid. we all know that so why make excuses for him. it is what it is.

Thinking his reasons are legit or not is inconsequential, Chelsea knew very well he wanted to leave and made it crystal clear by rejecting various contract extensions. If he had like 4 years left then by all means, be all PSG, show him his contract and watch him fall in line. But he is on his final year and he'll definitely leave on a free next year which Chelsea clearly wanted to avoid (hence the contract extension attempts).

Chelsea had time to find a replacement for a keeper that, to be frank, really not worth all this fuss but I'm totally bias against him so there is that. Instead, we have this foolishness.

Not a certainty. All the Madrid journos say the same thing, Madrid won't allow Modric to leave and they are pissed about his agents talking to Inter.

I just don't think we are interested in paying over 100 mil for a player like SMS. His agents would love it, Mendes would love it, but not us. Even if Modric leaves it's not something I see happening

I'll be interested to watch Chelsea's midfield as the season goes on.

Against City Jorginho was constantly isolated and had the ball stolen from him, something i mainly attribute to him having no help around him but i might be wrong. hmm
