Never heard of this guy before but that's a good song, takes balls too. Can't be smart to go hard against eminem though.

"I'm not Afraid"... Okay Oscar the Grouch, chill on the couch
I was screaaaaaming at that line particular.
It might just be the recency effect, but I think it is diss song of the year. Just the balls as well to do it, and that it was great from start to finish, didn't expect that.
Also he raised very good points... like "I'm sick of you being rich and still mad, let's talk about it"

I think a lot of people are mad because what's happening to rap is awful. Someone had to lay out mumble rappers and Em is the most fitting one for the job. They had it coming imo

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Eminem is done since more than a decade... whilst i agree ALL those new mumble-spacey-codeine rappers deserve to be diss because they make shite music... Eminem should have shut up.
It can only turn bad for him, new generation of rappers are mostly millenials and they will retaliate without fear, they got so much support on the social medias. It will spoil his legacy. For example this guy Machine Gun killed him.
Kamikaze is a garbage album without any good song. I love Eminem but he is finished, so is rap btw. It died around 2005.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Kamikaze is a great album in my opinion, best he has put out in more than a decade
That MGK diss video was absolutely vicious, thing is though, he is just so much smaller than Eminem that it would be surprising for him to respond lmao
MGK is also currently beefing with G-Eazy, I like them both
MGK is saying that G-Eazy dyed his hair to look like him and that MGK *bleep* G's girl, Halsey

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
See, Eminem is all about pure talent. He got it all. But the "rap" game nowadays is not at all into that.
What is popular today is rnb-trap, influenced by Drake and such, and so may shite artists have a big exposure because it's a music that women love too (unlike old school rap)... and new "rappers" are exploiting the gimmick to its fullest. Bigger clientele = $$$
Eminem and most the rappers i listen to are irrelevant in today's game, people treat them as legends as long as they don't intervene.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Btw i did not intend to insult Drake i know you are a fan, he means a lot for TO and i respect his career. Saw him grow up from a disabled teenager in Degrassi and look where he is now, international star
I am as bitter as Slim about rap nowadays but we must remain realistic, culture always evolve and it was stupid to release an album just to defend an art that is long dead. I'll listen some Machine Gun Kelly tonight, just in case, this song is impressive.

Let's not go too far. That song by MGK was good but that's it. Killed nothing. Kamikaze was an outstanding album.
Who else but Eminem to remind these people of the crap that mainstream hip hop turned into? this thing with the cracked out version of Icardi reminds me of Ja Rule getting destroyed back in the day.

Why do they even try? I didn't even listen to the Eminem song, just this but it's worthless, Eminem defined a generation, even the best diss of all time would seem futile from this guy, he looks ridiculous.

His previous album, Revival, was poorly received. It was a lot tamer and less like his oldest stuff, so he got a lot of backlash for it. So he made Kamikaze to vent and hit back and its fantastic.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
I distinctly remember this was the first time I actually listened to Eminem. It was on a Rawkus sampler which I bought and his rap part was immediately memorable.
Anyway, around the same time the Slim Shady singles would come out and I didn't like them so much.
Never been too much of a fan, but I think there's no doubt whatsoever crossover Emo douchebags like the one above will never get anywhere near to the rapper Eminem is. He should be starting a beef with Vanilla Ice, that's about his level.

This hit me hard. Mac was one of my favorites.
When I was jaded with hip hop and hated everyone new, Kendrick, Cole , Mac and Joey were the only new school rappers I liked and listened to. He had his issues and he was doing his best to conquer them, heartbreaking that he died so young, He had a lot more to offer.
*bleep* addiction

It probably sounds terribly misogynistic, but I knew he was done as soon as he broke up with Ariana Grande, and she got engaged to a guido version of him. She was his thread to whatever life he thought he was gonna have without drugs, and it seems his drugs won in that fight so this was a natural progression.
Sad way to go, especially for a kid as talented as he was.

As someone who often speak about how you've been discriminated against, you sure like to call people shit. Calling someone a guido. Really? Also... He's Jewish/Irish.
Also don't see what the hell the comparison to Pete Davidson and Mac Miller is.
He had mental problems and addiction before he dated Ariana Grande. And depression and addiction are the two worst things to combine in any case.
Also yeah, kind of misogynistic to try and frame her as the reason he lost his life. There's obviously been deep issues before her, and after her until the end.

Guido is the look he has. I know he isnt Italian(His last name is davidson ). They were the same type
twiggy drugged out scrawny manlets. She had a type and when he was dumped she moved on to a another and it clearly hurt him. I think his friends said you couldnt even mention her name around him. It hit him.
