Great news, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has sold 2M copies, which is excellent for Warhorse Studios first game.

Bad news, Warhorse Studios has been bought by THQ Nordic for 43M.

Another private gaming company bites the dust.

It could've been worse. They could've been bought by EA or Activision.. or Ubisoft.

Was going to say it could be a lot worse than buying out by THQ Nordic who seem quite normal as publishers go.

Saw a report the other day saying they were happy with how Darksiders 3 performed.

Meanwhile you've got Activision complaining about Black Ops 4 when it did more numbers than anything not called Red Dead 2.

You can quite easily play the new game without knowing what's gone on before. The story isn't that connected.

On top that, DMC 1 and 2 play very differently to 3, 4 and 5. DMC1 was a Resident Evil spin-off with more emphasis on the horror aspect than on the action. Its controls hasn't aged very well. DMC2 has better combat but is otherwise bland. It wasn't until DMC3 that they started to loosen up with everything and give the series the identity it currently has.

DMC2 was a wasted and dullard experiment and already the above is a huge time-sink.

DMC3 was the best from them. DMC4 solid but suffers from its backtracking issues whilst the reboot gets way too much stick and happens to be a short but very fun and original game with a more tightly knit story.

Well summed up. I also thought the reboot was a fun, more condensed experienced than the other iterations. I do understand why certain, hardcore fans didn’t like it, though. It has more of an action- based, «Buffy the vampire slayer» feel to it than the earlier games, and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, nor is it what the more hardcore fans of the franchise were prepared for.

Excuse my bias against Destiny but this game reminds of that Destiny and hence doesn't interest me one bit because of that. Even more so as they canned Mass Effect franchise because of this.

Gone are the days Bioware would bring new mechanics and ways to play. They have settled for an imitation, or improvement at best on a meh model.

It's nothing like Destiny lol.

SECONDED. It is fucking great.

Level design of police station is superb. Fights are tense, atmosphere is eerie, gameplay is smooth. Its everything you would want out of a RE game. Graphics is really good too, Capcom's engine is pretty impressive, I have to say. Can't wait for DMC 5.

It really is, it might be early contendor for GOTY 2019, i'm at Claire's run now. This fucking game deserves more recognition, its not a horror game, its Metroidvania. People should fucking GET ON IT.

Capcom has been having a mini-renaissance lately after disappointing fiscal years, they've been dishing out quality recently. With RE7,, Monster Hunter World, Mega Man 11 and soon to be DMC5 (Hope its great, haven't tried the demo)

They had years of failure with Bionic Commando, Lost Planet, Dead Rising sequels, Dragon's Dogma, etc

I'm no company man, but i really hope to see a sequel to Okami, farfetched, especially since Clover studios is now Platinum Games. But i just wish to play another Okami before i die.

Okami is great. I do hope they some day make a sequel to it, if not a spiritual sequel. I'm a bit surprised that Platinum hasn't attempted to build on the momentum the first one had. I suppose they were juggling enough projects, already.

Okami already had a sequel though.

Okamiden on the DS (which is a damn fine game).

Both Okami and Okamiden sold poorly though, and that's why a true sequel was never made, and why the Platinum team was basically chased out of Capcom.

DS games aren't canon imo.

I played Okamiden and calling it an Okami game is doing it a disservice, it was alright for a DS game. But i got the feeling it got pushed to the DS because of the stylus lol.

Okami was so good. If you never played it, do yourself a favor and get the PS4 remaster. It holds up really well. Basically PlayStation's Zelda.

Got it and played it when it came out. I've never played Okamiden, though. Can't remember the last time I owned a portable console that wasn't my phone.
