If Getafe make CL before Utd and Arsenal does, I think that statement should also apply to said fans here too.

State of La liga though

Yup, the top teams in La Liga has been pretty mediocre minus Barcelona, obviously. But Getafe in the CL would be surreal and also the easiest 3 points anyone would get in the group stages lol.

Wtf, VAR didn't call that handball red? How are they ever going to explain it? Two refs, nor VAR didn't see it when rest of the world saw it in real time?

Clear double studs tackle, a lot harder of which Umititi got called previously. This ref is obviously instructed to get Barca players injured.

Don't get your hopes up as there is a good chance we don't do a single thing and Barca wins the league by October this time.

Of course LL is meaningful, if you are referencing the thread in our section- it is meaningless because we lost the league in October, so winning matches wouldn't have done anything. We were never going to win the league, especially when it got to November/December/January.

So it would be fair to say Real's CL wins in the past few years were meaningless also? Since we were out by the QFs or so, and Real never had to play us, which we would have beaten them like most times in domestically

I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding here, folks. The thread "meaningless la liga" in the Madrid section doesn't imply that the league in itself is meaningless. It simply describes (with a humorous twist) the sad reality that Madrid is already out of the title race and that the remaining games hold little to no value for us since there's nothing at stake.

It's meaningless in the sense that we're bound to finish trophyless regardless of the outcome of the upcoming games. Win or lose, we still lose, which makes the whole thing meaningless from our perspective.

But the league in itself is a major trophy and one heck of an achievement. I would only choose the CL over it.

So yeah, congrats, you've just added another major trophy to your cabinet. Just don't get too comfy though, because we'll be back in 2040 to win it back. You've been warned.

And similar to what ZZ said, congrats. LL is an amazing trophy. Just 7 more league titles and you will have finally caught up to us.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing his Madrid next year. I believe he had been riding on CR in CL. Let's see if he can prove it wrong.
