Don’t see the big deal, the interview was actually really cool last year. Obviously it would be dumb if it was in a real competition but in a friendly it makes sense.

A common practice in north america big four leagues, they do it in exhibition games
In NHL the refs are mic'd up, it gives pretty fun compilations on Youtube, of referees giving shit to the players and them responding by excuses/insults
In Europe it's a whole culture of fans/medias interaction in football and sports in general. I don't expect it to be tested over seas.

It's actually fun, they'd do that in the Polish leauge but only referees would have it. Made for great youtube comps as well.

When Luxembourgo was coaching real madrid, he used to make raul, who was the captain at the time, wear an ear piece. Lol, we still didnt win a title that year for what its worth

It's pretty common in Australia, too.
Particularly the Cricket, but I've also seen it in the Rugby.
As long as it's given to someone with some personality, it's ok.
