WHICH TWO TEAMS WILL PROGRESS ?
Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group B
best CL football i have seen in some time....
Bayern was best in every department from defense to midfield to forwards
actually Spurs started with good intensity causing bayern good problems in defense but bayern were not shuddering at all and total calmness / composure
not to mention their ball control, movements in tight spaces when spurs were putting pressure, ball distribution, build up play and finishing ... amazing...
the only weakness for bayern was for me countinho where he was loosing ball, his shooting wasn't particularly good but he made up for that nice unshelfish pass to lewandowski
Gnabry was killer with his movement in spaces, particularly liked everyone in defense and midfield from bayern moving ball wherever they can find spaces to exploit and they were really showing good control and grew over , the second half was even better for bayern ... bayern defenders are not just limited to just defending, they are like ball playing midfielders... im so jealous seeing that
this is the bayern who is actually just rebuilding.... way to go... Germans are too good with rebuilding... thats how to start a new chapter !!!! (this coming from AC Milan fan btw )
Spurs they just faltered over time as bayern was getting so much ball and under control, add to that their defense made some horrendous mistake and Gnarby, Lewandowski was so clinical... that beautiful long range pass by Tiago was breathtaking...
even after they conceded pk, bayern was calm and they were ruthless u dont stop at 4-2 u keep going ... this is what makes them exceptional tonight

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group B
I couldn't see the game. The stats are interesting because the shots / shots on target for both teams shows that Bayern were the better team and probably won, but you look at the scoreline and they don't match at all.
I guess when you see that it's 4-2 and Bayern score their 5th in the 83rd, it makes sense. Tottenham just collapsed.
All I really have to say is to me when it gets to 3-1 that is the important part. And what happened? Terrible from Aurier on multiple plays.
I say it so many times, but the inability to pick up a RB at Tottenham is one of the worst cases of ignoring a problem in the team as possible.
Anyway Poch out is very premature.

Probably won? I guess when you see one's side get roflstomped, things can get blurry. I understand

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group B
I mean, you guys are clearly just being pedantic and deciding to ignore the context. Let me make this simple for you.
All I was saying was that I thought it was interesting to see what the scoreline was. I didn't get to see the game so I looked at the score and then checked the statistics and expected to see Spurs get absolutely slaughtered in the statistics too. That wasn't the case, clearly. I was simply saying that when you look at those stats in isolation, you come away with the idea that it was a highly attacking game where Bayern were probably the better team, and probably won, but it looks relatively even. Those stats when put up against the scoreline seem very incongruent.
But I guess it makes more sense to cherry pick a sentence, ignore all of the context, and then try and make a cheap jab, instead.

I think being 4-1 by 50 mins is already a collapse, let alone starting the collapse from 4-2 to 7-2?

7 - Tottenham Hotspur are the first English side to concede seven goals in any European competition since Tottenham Hotspur themselves lost 0-8 to FC Koln in the UEFA Intertoto Cup in July 1995. Spursy.
Ouch! Didn't realize they held the previous record, as well

Poch 0/10 once again. Spurs look really, really bad.
Nah we won't
1-1 at half time. Going to call it struggling even if you end up winning this

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group B
I wouldn't call a win against a terrible side at home "in form". Liverpool fans are the worst
I didn't see the game, but probably not much you can take away from it. I would say it's a morale booster, but Tottenham also beat Crystal palace 4-0 right in the middle of their crisis and it did nothing for them.
Lo Celso will be back in action soon though. Although I'm worried N'Dombele playing today means Winks-Sissoko on the weekend. Awful.

Yeah, but we struggle more than that against Paderborn or Hoffenheim. What I meant was, beating CL minnows is rarely a doubt or a problem for us, the team still has enough quality and swagger for that.
Of course, it's no doubt either that we are godawful, compared to our standards of recent years, and that Kovac is not good enough a coach for Bayern. How Spurs managed to let us spank them at home like that is, frankly, a mystery and somewhat of a fluke.
Not completely a fluke, as it's also in our DNA to spank second rate PL teams in London, but arguably somewhat of a fluke.

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group B
The last 3 goals came when they had already given up all hope in the last 10 mins or so, wouldn't call it representative of the match. Definitely points to mental weakness on the spurs side though
