I feel like Champions League football in general, has been quite low quality this year.

I haven't seen it being mentioned much, but I would assume the teams that started and ended their league seasons early, have benefited from being well rested for these draws. I suppose there was no other way around it considering these unique circumstances, but it's quite a substantial advantage. I don't know if it would have made any difference otherwise, but Lyon likely had quite a lot more in their tank from being fully rested for their draw against Juventus.

Bayern feels a bit like their treble winning year with Heynckes when they raped us so thats definitely possible. They look so good this season. Apart from Lewand and Gnabry who are the main goal threats, u get the feeling everyone are like robots when they play, so intense like Liverpool level which is scary.

For us Messi is still as determined as ever to win another CL so it will largely depend on if Bayern can cope with him obviously. We look so much better with De Jong back so thats a plus, but overall we should get beat unless we pull the best performances of the season out of the team, which I almost certainly think wont happen with Setien in charge Napoli was pretty poor but we never really dominated, unlike Bayern who absolutely raped Chelsea.

So if Messi is still playing, quite clearly we are not favourites

Considering how refs needed VAR clear Messi penalty and casually gave Napoli's, and perfect Messi goal dismissed as handball, which couldn't be seen given slowmotions. We have no chance against 15 men Bayern.

I think the key will be not conceding in the first 25 minutes, then it's anyones game.

In fact it's the most proven strategy to beat Barca since at least 5 years

Beyond Messi and an over the hill Suarez Barça well and truly are nothing special. And even then he is nowhere near the force he was let alone in big games where I am sure some will agree he does not carry them the way he did.

We are probably going to get destroyed. Bayren play with an intensity we just cant match. Top sides with intensity brutally expose the stone age football we play.

Messi is still the GOAT but he doesn't have the same stamina and directness anymore as years before.

but im still sticking with my 2-1 to Barca because of the one-game, one-off format, just for shits and giggles

Bayern should win this. This is the best side they've had since Pep left in 2016. But all it takes is one Messi moment.

Since Setien has taken over the team didn't have a single good performance IMO. The win yesterday was 100 % individual effort. Corner header Lenglet and then Messi doing stuff on his own. Lost possession to Gattuso led Napoli at home. I'm convinced Setien is the worst coach in the club's history, way below Tata even. There is no system, neither possession, pressing nor defending. Yesterday looked like an amateur street match. In fact I actually stopped watching the Barca games since after the Corona break. Corona already killed football somewhat with the empty stadiums and 0 atmosphere, Setien did the rest.
