Yeah, I get that this will be their best chance to compete for the title, so he's going to bring in old players like Kolarov and Vidal, but the moment he leaves which will probably be in a year, Inter will be left with players like Kolarov, Godin, Young, Vidal, Alexis, and any other over the hill player he plans on bringing. He might be able to squeeze out one title-winning season from those guys, but I don't expect Inter's next coach to do so at all.

In fact, it's more likely their next coach flops simply because of that.

Why is there narrative of an old Inter ?

In this situation you need exactly of two proven experienced players so as to get closer to Juve more than another young talented player . More about a starter in Barcallona than a starter in Brescia just relegated in Serie B

As for the other signings, it was important that we renewed Ibra. If we had kept Pioli and not renewed Ibra it would've been so stupid. Ibra delaying the extension was kind of annoying as he's one of the reasons we don't have Rangnick right now.

As for Diaz, I've seen him play at City and I didn't see him as a RW at the time, but more of a 9.5 like Dybala, Felix, and Griezmann. I haven't really kept up to tabs with him at Madrid. He seemed to me like the classic good dribbler, but bad decision making type. I guess he's fine as a rotation option.

A starting RB and a starting RW are still needed. I'm not too big on Aurier, but we haven't really been linked with anyone else. I'm hoping we can sign Chiesa. Add in Paqueta with 20-30M and it should do the job.

CL qualification will be guaranteed then. After that, I would say just upgrade on Calhanoglu, Kjaer, and get an Ibra replacement after the end of next season and we'll be competing for league titles too.

indeed, it was absurd like our club was betting all on ibra to sign first before getting our markets going ... he could have easily made us wait and wait and said f k you;
plus it was one of those ploy of riola as they know they have leverage against milan to up the salary. riola knows that if ibra left milan is screwed like u said the one of the big factors that rangnick wasnt brought was because of ibra

calabria is a good as confirmed to be not sellable by Massara ; and he dismissed interest in aurier. so we are f..ked there unless .. unless though that is just to hype up calabria's value. cagliari is interested in calabria and has offered 8 million apparently but milan want 15 million.

diaz, i guess he can play as RW is the reason why we brought him maybe ; did some dig up again not that i know anything of him but having seen his youtube highlights felt he can play anywhere in attack.

yep if we get bakayoko + tonali + diaz we will have a midfield department (since pirlo, seedorf, van bommel, ibra, silva) still existed in this club. having said that though feels like,

young or old i feel like u guys are going to have situation just like when mourinho left inter and when new coach came it was chaos. just saying, not that its going to happen but feels like mourinho repeat of how conte is assembling players the way he has been doing . it feels like he is there assemble players as one way ticket to win and bail ...

yes he will start on 20th of Sept.
there is optimism amongst fans and teams that stadium could be re-opened albeit with limited numbers - probably starting with season ticket holders then gradually introducing fans.

A test was held - when napoli held friendly last week and Italian FA is closely looking into it and is under discussion. The president is very cautious about it but clubs are pushing for fans return.

Conte signing Vidal, Kolarov and potentially Dzeko indicates he's pinning it all on this one season. If they can't win the league this season against a rookie coach, they probably wont for another 10 years maybe.

Honestly I don't complain about Kolarov for Emerson, I'd not give big money for Emerson. Kolarov for 1.5 and a year contract is a legit deal. Just these are not thing to make difference

Prefer Vidal over Tonali is good for me instead, at this moment we need of a proven player more than another young player in midfield

What I'd have signed in Chelsea during these months was Giroud. We were close to sign him in January .. Shame. He Is the perfect back-up. If then I think he is EL legend and we were so close to that victory but missed exactly that acute...

On purpose, in Italy rumours insist that Kante Is the first Inter target
Thoughts ? i don't think to see him moving away from Chelsea tbh.

Chelsea value him too highly.

I think with Emerson, you'd be able to get a good deal on him as we now have 3 left backs and need to shift him. Kolvarov on a free is ok, but can he still play LWB?

I feel we've signed him also for 3 defence system. Played there in last Roma matches. And Bastoni is the only left footed defender. I Imagine Kolarov as jolly, back-up for Bastoni and Young atm
