I know it won't be easy for you, but I have decided to retire from GL NBA. End of an era is here. This is like Valentino Rossi retiring from MotoGP, Schumacher from F1, this league is losing it's GOAT.

I just don't have the time anymore to truly dedicate myself to this and I've achieved everything in this league, the final milestone being the destruction of Habs, this years champion.

The league is in good hands with Habs taking over as the most high profile player, though no one will ever achieve the heights that my Numpties have reached.

Tonight might be decisive. Need a big push at least 200 points and 15 steals. It's a lot to ask but not impossible either, those were our strongest categories all season.

Scheduling is screwing me a bit. Saturday is crazy stuff to resist then 12 vs 12 to finish the season, it gets complicated to win unless there are many duds on your side. Fun fact for many months i was enthusiastic about Cleveland's 5 games week in the finals only to end up with Moses smh. I love the guy but fuck me.

El G has like a 5-7 game lead on whoever he plays every week lol

If those guys sit it gets interesting but you have big leads and i still need a few guys to go berserk. It's not over yet but we are on the edge of the cliff

Eh there'd have to be some monumentally bad games for El G to lose this. He's got safe leads in everything but the % cats.

This is kinda why I'm out on fantasy bball though. I'll play again next year, but you can't overcome large deficits in games played. I'd be more supportive of a league/game that equalizes games played per opponent per week. Basketball is the only sport where this is an issue because of back to backs and the fact that sometimes a player could have 5 games in a week and sometimes it's 2.

The team with the better constructed roster should win, generally. But in fantasy bball, superior roster construction is really just one part of a couple of components to winning. Playing the add/drop game is just as important. It's crazy to me the idea that there is incentive to owners to continually rotate in and out trash players instead of just maximizing your roster for the build you want.

It's also why I genuinely believe league title in this game >>> playoffs.

Over the course of the 22 weeks or whatever it is, games played is generally smoothed out and equalized. Sometimes you have an advantage one week, sometimes you're at a disadvantage. The nature of the playoffs being one-offs mean that you can lose just due to scheduling. Unless you specifically plan for scheduling, and the idea that I'm looking forward at how many teams play 4 times in one week during a playoff week like 24 weeks in the future and drafting those players to maximize my ability in the playoffs...that's ridiculous and stupid to me. I just want to draft well and find some gems and build a good solid team

I'm not really bitching, I've been saying this since before the season started. I've always felt like fantasy bball is extremely fuckin stupid in this way. Any one week in fantasy bball means not much, the same way it does in the ridiculously long NBA season. However, over the course of an entire season, things smooth out in a way that makes sense

And I finished the league 1 game behind you in the league lol so I'd pipe down.

It's important to build a good core but i like to rotate 1 or 2 spots to adjust vs my current opponent. It's the most logical way to play.

Injuries and rest days suck but they add drama to the game. It is what it is.
