There are reports that the deal between unicredit and Thomas De Benedetto could break down due to disagreement on the financial terms . The consequence of the incident can devastating as Roma have already purchased too many players without any financial gurantee. Also there are some reports telling that the deal for Lamela can breakdown due to lack of bank guarantee . I don't know what's happening there. Do you know anything about that ?

Nothing to worry about, just some financial details to sort out summing up to 17 million euros between Unicredit and DiBenedetto. It's normal that these rumours come up on English sites with no follow up since they don't go into much detail with these stories.

Roma 2000 Srl, the company which owns the controlling interest in AS Roma SpA, with reference to the preliminary sale contract of the same participation signed on April 15, 2011 with AS Roma DiBenedetto LLC, which subsequently designated as the buyer of the investment NEEP Roma Holding SpA, announced that today the company's board of directors approved the grant to AS Roma SpA, subject to completion of the sale mentioned above, a loan of Euro 10 million (so-called vendor loan) and that the resolution of the contract funding in question was signed by Roma 2000 Srl and AS Roma SpA: in addition, also in the day today, a loan agreement of Euro 30 million (so-called Term Loan) was signed between UniCredit SpA and AS Roma SpA.
The signing of these contracts was a condition precedent to the making of the closing under the aforementioned preliminary sales contract and, consequently, Roma 2000 Srl, in accordance with the provisions of the preliminary sales contract, reported to Rome Neep Holding SpA that the closing will take place on July 29, 2011.
Also, Consob would like to precise the the rumors published by some newspapers today about the existence of an additional loss of 17 million euros resulting from the balance sheet of June 30, 2011 of AS Roma S.p.A are unfounded. In fact, the data on the pre-closing balance sheet of AS Roma S.p.A. as of June 30, 2011 are in line with expectations and with the data available at the date of signing of the preliminary contract.
