poor man's iniesta is worth 25M in my book. he might lack the commercial appeal or usual notoriety attached to the usual players in that price range, but he is worth every little penny of that cash, wonderful player

Pretty sexy player. Not way he'd go for 25m, though. Knowing Wenger he'd probably drop it to 16-18m.

We are not at all linked with him, but who knows with Arsenal signings. They can be completely random.

yes of course, things like age, potential, commercial appeal, achievements, current level and etc come into play, but in the case of an underhyped, hidden gem like Cazorla, he is worth as much as someone seeing his talent is willing to offer to him, not to mention, how much he is worth to his team.

@sushi, only malaga is seriously trying to buy Cazorla, the medias are only using arsenal to sell the story imo.
Pellegrini knows just how good he is and is trying his best to poach him away.

And good god, the Carrol transfer has really ruined the transfer market. 25 million for Cazorla a steal? FFS Ibra cost us 24 million.

U missed another huge factor though.Wages.

Carroll might cost us 35mil but when wages are taken into account his overall transfer fee would be cheaper than most strikers we would have bought.Also if he flops for arguement sake even then he will be far easier to sell than some one like Torres.

As I said on the other thread, Cazorla is the real deal. He did not just get one call up, he consistently plays with Spain and if it werent for the whole 'Lets cram as many Barca starters into the lineup as possible' he would start more regularly. 25 million is not a steal, but with these modern inflated prices, it is certainly a good price, and even higher.

Anyway, I honestly believe that the Spanish NT would be better with players like Cazorla, Silva, Negredo, Llorente etc seeing more playing time.
