It's an outrage to have Sahin on the stands, even on the bench. We have the player who outplayed Schweinsteiger himself (twice) and the germany player of the year.

If he doesn't fit the system, he should be sold. I don't want us to waste a player of his caliber. If Mourinho does not like him, why was he bought in the first place ?

Sahin has the potential to surpass Xabi Alonso and (flame shield) has the potential to match Xavi's ability or atleast get very close to it. Sahin has mobility, good holding the ball, short passing, fk, long passing he has everything a player needs to succeed as a world class midfielder. He is the kind of player we need to be able to withstand Barcelona's pressure.

We should not waste him.

i think we all wish he would suddenly start to play but this will not be the case.

but its nice to imagine.. socidad would be a good game to start since we wont have xabi for CL.

give xabi a break for socidad, sahin plays MOTM performace etc etc and mou then is forced ot play him cuz hes too good.

Xabi needs a break.

And I'm not confident in Granero in a 2 man midfield.

Dominated the midfield completely and provided some great key passes despite not having played in months. Deserves to play more and hopefully gets some more playing time.

“I think the club they are close to is playing in North London.”

So will we just be loaning him out the next 2 years until Alonso gets seriously injured or loses his mojo?

There's a lot of talks that Nuri will join Arsenal on loan.

Arsenal don't want to rush Wilshere who's coming back from a looong injury, so Sahin would get alot of playing-time and a good experience in a strong league, after his loan spell we'll get Wilshere back and you'll get Sahin back. Win-win situation for everyone

The only thing holding up Nuri Sahin's loan move is a buying clause. Player and agent wants option to be included. Madrid say no. According to reliable journalists (Sid Lowe, Honigstein etc.)

Yea, but I thought Wenger wrote off any interest on Sahin.

What I would like to know is what is it that Nuri lacks for Mourinho's system? He's a tremendous player, but is he poor tactically? I guess it's good news that Nuri is being loaned out, but at what cost? Say he comes back next year after having a great year will he be able to get ahead of Xabi, Modric (if we get him), Granero and Khedira? Also remember we have young Alex who I hope continues to improve.

He was simply fantastic at Dortmund, but I think he simply doesn't fit Mourinho's style of play and will eventually be sold after having a good year. Now if a clause isn't included his transfer that I'll be truly stumped.

If he will be sold next summer, Mourinho can leave along with his portuguese guys, this guy was top 3 CM in 2010-2011 at the age of 22, suffers an injury, recovers in november and since that he plays 10 matches. If he would have been portuguese, he would have been a starter by now.

Hopefully he isn't sold. If anything his loan can be extended for another season.

Sahin's first 2 goals for Liverpool:

He had a good game, playing in the EPL will surely improve his physicality, he never pulled out of tackles and was always available for a pass. His set piece deliveries were top notch as usual. I expect him to start over the weekend in the league.

He's doing great from what I've seen. Like I said, if he will be sold, Mourinho can leave and take his portuguese legion with him.
