First and second legs are on Aug. 18 & 25. The 38 winners from the above matches will join the 10 beaten clubs in the CL playoff to form the group stages for this year's comp.

Hannover-Sevilla should be a good one. Hearts-Spurs is another one to look out for. Juande Ramos will be making a return to London with his new club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk to face Fulham so that one is of interest as well.

Is Guti still with Besiktas? Thought I read he wanted out, same with Kanoute and Sevilla

Guti and Kanoute are still with Besiktas and Sevilla as far as I know. Haven't read anything anywhere about either of them leaving those clubs.

I hope Atletic Bilbao do good, Llorente is such a beast. I read that Harry is going to try to sign him, it would be interesting to see him with VDV playing behind him

Harry says he's going to sign a lot of strikers lol....I highly doubt Llorente will buck the trend and join Spurs honestly.

Bilbao should do quite well. I expect to see them in the knockouts at the very least.

yup, indeed.

Hannover did quite well last season in the Bundesliga though and have retained many of their stars from that campaign. I think they will give Sevilla a run for their money ultimately. Could be an entertaining match, that.

they do have a chance, but sevilla is so much more experienced internationally. i don't think h96 can take it away from them, which means two german teams are already out before the cup even propperly started.

it really is embarassing and just shows that such teams shouldn't play in europe.

Meh, same with Italy. Thems the breaks though.

Either way, from a neutral's perspective, I'm just looking to see good football on display between these two sides.
