"All I know is that Inter need money and that I'm for sale if the right offer comes in. I have five days off after the international friendly against England on Wednesday. I expect clarity on my future by then," Sneijder said to Voetbal International. The former Ajax and Real Madrid star then went on to discuss the interest from the Premier League champions and their city rivals but said that he hasn't held talks yet."I can be very brief about the interest from Manchester United and City: I haven't spoken with either of those two clubs, so I can't really say much about my future at the moment."
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini confirmed the club are not interested and haven't discussed a move for Wesley Sneijder.

Instead of spending 40 odd million on Sneijder and playing him out of position. We should play Cleverley who's work ethic suits the system better, feels more comfortable in that position and is younger.
Sneijder>Cleverley
but with all non-footballing factors included also

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
This might be a very controversial comment but i agree with Cyber.
Id rather go with Cleverly who looks the real deal imo then sign someone in Sneijder who is in his late 20s will command obscene wages and extremely high fee.
Cleverly>>>Sneijder as far as what United need's imo as he actually fits the system naturally unlike Sneijder who does'nt fit the system at all imo.

Plus, Cleverly can be your new Scholes, play in his early 20's and stop at 35 + :king:

Yeah, always better to see as a fan someone from your youth shine, than a purchased buy. :king:

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
One thing I will add however, it wouldnt be about playing Snijeder out of position.
He has been playing deep in midfield in the Inter games I seen in preseason and doing a superb job there.

Have'nt Inter been playing a 3-4-2-1 with Alvarez and Sneijder as the "2" ?

Clevery's best position has always been in the middle, usually behind the striker. He's just one of those guys that can just about anywhere.

I think against Celtic, he came on as sub in a 3-4-3 (the midfield 4 a straight line with 2 CM and 2 widemen) and he controlled everything from center. Picked the ball up front the back 4 every single time more or less. He can play that role.
I am sure goal.com did a little article on it.

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
I always said I rated Cleverly, he needs to improve his workrate though. His passing is decent enough. This is the most fluid I have seen our attack since 2008. Young, Nani, Rooney and Welbeck can all swap positions fluidly.

Cleverley looks the business. He just oozes class and he is making me feel comfortable if we don't go and sign a top MF. He came from the Utd academy, just like Welbeck, so it's extra special to see him shining like he has.

While Welbeck is a United youth player, Cleverly is not as he came to United in 2006 from Brandford city.

Beckham and Giggs both played for other youth clubs. In the long term, it will be the same.
