Nice to know.
But he is a youth player of Basingstoke who took him in and eventually Bradford City as it cannot be classified as a bred youth player as his previous youth systems are the ones truly responsible for his nascent development.
But, yes just making things clear as United have been and are vital to his development and newfound success.
@KSA: Nope, 15.

On another note:
What I personally like about Cleverly is how he is so fantastically commanding in what ever area he is in with or without the ball.
This kind of characteristic can especially come in great use in the big games against Super disciplined, pressuring and physical midfields.
Also, I am seeing great leadership skills within him.
Reminds me a lot like Albertini. A lot.
Nothing else much to add that hasn't been said.

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
Yeah, you learn everything at 15 ffs
Cleverly has spent longer at Utds youth acadamy than whoever elses, he has said he has improved 1m % when he joined our youth set up
15 bla bla bla is a worthless semantics argument based off of 1 line in wikipedia..
Who says you have to sign with a club at birth to be their product? if he didnt move to us, he wouldnt be as good as he is now.
Therefore he is our youth product, he is a product of our youth team coaching
simple

Andii, do you not know my history of bashing Sneidjer on here?
Why would i be worried about City getting him when Mancini himself says hes not going?
Cleverley is a mobile midfielder who is great in tight spots, has great feet with the ability to carry the ball forward.
V lower teams Sneidjer would be great, v Barca id choose Cleverley

I wasn't referring to the general idea of cleverly > sneijder...I was referring to the exact line that I quoted
What does this:
cyber wrote:Tom is what we need. A composed head who excels in tight spaces who can bring the ball out from the midfield.
Sneidjers good, but hes no Cleverly...in terms of what we need
Have to do with:

Everything at 15? LOL Hilarious
Footballers like Cleverly and CO. learn their skill before the age of 10 as otherwise everyone would turn out like Theo Walcott who actually started learning football at the age of 13.
And you clearly did not read my response as I said United simply cannot hold him as a directly bred youth product as the credit does and must go to the youth systems that were the catalyst to his development as I clearly stated that he would NOT be the player he is without United.
True youth products are the ones like Xavi, Scholes and Gerrard who have plied their trade since the early development and inception to their footballing brains and skills.

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
I used to use Watford as my FIFA 10 team, and Cleverley was on loan from Man U. By the time i had won the Coca Cola League I outright bought him and he was instrumental in my champions league winning team.

Im all for Cleverly, Snijder is the much better midfielders but has had his deal of injuries and doenst have the workrate of a younger clevery, who has more to work for every game then snijder would coming and automatically taking his position.

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
I wouldn't want Sneijder if I were a United supporter. He's simply too expensive and United are not in that great a need of a CM player.
But Sneijder is of world-class quality and it's unlikely that Cleverley will ever be as good a player as Sneijder is. Could become very good, though, not denying that.

FIFA and Football Manager are to blame for players rating Cleverly over Sneijder.
Re: no no no no no no no no no no
For the record I remember having an epic Sneijder vs Carrick debate () with Cyber a couple of years ago on the old old forum.
He's flipped flopped since then though

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
Sniejder has just come out today and clarified to the Dutch media that he has began talks with Man United.
I said that inter were willing to sell him and that they have accepted our bid. United and sneijder have to come to an agreement now and this transfer will be done. Some talks in the Dutch media say it will be done by this Thursday, others are saying it will be done by deadline day.

Perhaps FFP is forcing inter to sell their best players or players who are on exorbitant wages..
I am presuming from the report i read yesterday in the inter section..

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
sneijder would do great at manchester united if he could just learn to play deep consistantly. But I have to agree that giving clevery a shot to prove himself woud be better for everybody
Im more surprised that Inter Milan would agree to sell Sneijder at all, he truly is a gem

Re: no no no no no no no no no no
Wesley Sneijder is more clarity on its future. Interviewed by Dutch television, Sneijder has not closed the door to a transfer, but said he was happy at Inter, and it is said that his future is far from the club's: As reported in the preview FcInterNews.it , l ' Dutch said: "I'm playing for Inter and there are chances that I stay at Inter after August 31. I do not exclude, however, that there is also the possibility that I go away. The situation does not depend on me, but by the company, which has been clear: if the right offer comes for me, let me go. For this, I do not exclude the possibility of leaving Inter. " When asked if he will return to Milan after the match against England, Holland, Wesley Sneijder says, "If there will be news, of course I'll be back, I have permission from the coach."
Then the clear words of the Dutchman, who declares his desire to remain at Inter. Everything depends of the companies that come with an appropriate offer, given that Inter evaluate the player at least 40 million. At the moment, no one has moved. Sneijder is wanting to stay at Inter, and the great goals and determination put into the field in the Super Cup has shown.

He has just repeated what has been said already, if the right offer comes to Inter he might leave.
