Long ball, lack of technical skill etc etc

Rooney Welbeck up front

Wilshere, Cleverley and in the next 12 months... Morrison and Mc Eachren

Smalling and Jones are 2 of the best young ball playing CBs youll find anywhere...tbf England always produce excellent CBs

Not all long ball Heskeys huh?

Im thinking more of the ball to feet talent but Sturridge could be there..
Sterling for Lvpool has the potential to be an excellent winger, Tunnecliffe will be a box to box monster, but this is really about the players who can use it in tight spaces, its supposedly un English, dont have the technique bla bla bla

Kyle Walker at FB could be used in that bracket as well, Gibbs even

That's Sturridge right there. He has great technique and I can see him being a fantastic dribbler in the future as that is what his play is about. Plus Villas-Boas gives him free license to attack and express himself so that will help his development and he'll add another dimension to the England attack.

Oh and these apologies exclude Stuart Pearce

Cleverley stood toe to toe v Barca and dominated Citys midfield mere weeks after Pearce didnt trust him in the u21s and played Mancienne in the middle with Cleverley out wide

Thats all fine and dandy

but now compare all of these players to the upcoming stars of other nations like Spain, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, etc.

LOL mancienne as a midfielder, watta fail that was, captain and was subbed each game because he so bloody ineffective and lost...but kept rolling him out each game just because he was the captain and CB was being held down by Jones and Smalling

no country has 2 ball playing CBs better than Smalling and Jonee, but especially Smalling. Hes the best young CB in the world and ill hear no argument on that.

Morrison is a freak, theres no point in debating since you wont have seen him

Wilshere is Wilshere ffs, one of the top young players at what he does

Im not here to argue who is best, although most of those youngsters are destined for starting spots at the (for now) 2nd best team in the world Utd.

These are players that everyone said we couldnt produce while looky now, not a Heskey in sight and not a revolution needed

and B-Mac MUFC, its so wrong that Jones and Smalling were our most cultured players going forward with them being CBs

ffs

RAVEL MORRISON is on the brink of a call-up to Manchester United’s pre-season tour of America – with Sir Alex Ferguson ready to upgrade the controversial starlet to first-team status. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is judged by many to be the most gifted English teenager to emerge for years – and his talent has alerted scouts from BARCELONA and REAL MADRID who have kept tabs on him.Morrison was a star performer as United won the FA Youth Cup last month. It is understood Ferguson and United’s coaches have held talks on whether to fast-track the youngster – and are considering taking him on the five-match American tour.Morrison has had a chequered career so far after a string of off-field incidents which have landed him in court. Most recently, he appeared on a third assault charge in as many years and has been warned he faces a custodial sentence if he finds himself in trouble again.Morrison, who has played for England at Under-16, 17 and 18 level...

Read a report on Redcafe that he stole the show, and thats stupidly hard to do with Pogba on the pitch lol

Just decided he wanted to shoot so he dribbled past most of the entire opposition and was only denied by a great save

It's not the coaches that bring the talent through i have a problem with. It's the idiot's at the top level or U21's that dont have a clue how to use these kids and bring them through.

Basically using tactics that dont suit them and the end result is the players not reaching the potential they have.

U21's was a huge example of this, some of the choices Pearce was making were shocking and to be frank i personally believe majority of youth coaches in England could have done a better job.

One example, Steve MClaren went to Germany and was shocked at the level of tactical awareness by the players in the Bundesliga Very Happy
I think not even the basics are taught properly Very Happy Football isn't only about physical features and skills, you need a tactical brain on the field to compete on higest level Very Happy
I'm sure Affelay or Ellia have more skills than Gödze but Gödze owns them with brains overall Very Happy

this is what i what i was trying to tell arc....(the liverpool/milan fan) about the next generation of English players and he wouldn't excepted it. this next generation of English players a WAY better technically. there is just a much bigger pool of ball playing English footballers. times have changed English coach are not looking at just the physical abilities any more. listen im not English in-fact i like it when the English lose. but you cant deny the good technical talent that is coming through the English game, cyberman just named some but there is more. im not saying this England side are going to be world beaters but they are going to be much better then the golden generation, and do better internationally.

Dani, its the threads on here that were mocking English coaches for only producing kick and rush players

Our system is outdated, we judge players on size, power and speed

Well look now, Jones and Smalling are 2 of the most cultured young CBs in world football,
Theyll probably spend years playing behind a Wilshere / Cleverley / Morrison (trust me ) axis with Rooney behind a Welbeck

Thats a fantastic, technical spine to the team, an adaptable team that wouldnt be 4-4-2 playing down the wings

No revolution was needed, we didnt need to adapt to the German model, theyre bred from the English system

Credit where its true
