Apparently Montillo from Cruzeiro has been called up for Argentina's game vs Brazil next Wednesday.

So even the domestic-based Argentine national team have foreign-based players...

Argentine league must really be down the crapper.

Leave it up to the Argies to look for loopholes...

Argentina's squad for the second leg of the Superclásico de las Américas include FOUR Brazil-based players:

Arqueros : Marcelo Barovero (Vélez Sarsfield), Agustín Orion (Boca Juniors) y Esteban Andrada (Lanús).

Defensores : Sebastián Domínguez y Emiliano Papa (Vélez); Christian Cellay, Leandro Desábato y Germán Ré (Estudiantes de La Plata); Iván Pillud (Racing), Clemente Rodríguez (Boca Juniors) y Jonathan Bottinelli (San Lorenzo).

Mediocampistas : Augusto Fernández y Héctor Canteros (Vélez), Agustín Pelletieri (Racing), Cristian Chávez (Boca), Pablo Guiñazú, Mario Bolatti y Andrés D`Alessandro (Inter de Porto Alegre) y Walter Montillo (Cruzeiro de Belo Horizonte).

Delanteros: Gabriel Hauche (Racing), Pablo Mouche y Lucas Viatri (Boca) y Emanuel Gigliotti (San Lorenzo).

Is your league really that bad?

Anyway, the quality of the players isn't as good because they go to Europe, not hide in South America afraid of the challenge. :coffee: Argentina has and has always had the best talents. :coffee:

anywho back to the topic at hand.

Mário Fernandes decided not to play for Brazil this Wednesday. He knows (Palmeiras') Cicinho should be there in his place, even if he is injured now.

Lucas, Cortês, Borges and Rômulo apparently trained in Brazil's first team today.

First team looks like this:

Jefferson; Danilo, Dede, Rever, Cortês; Ralf, Romulo, Lucas, Ronaldinho; Neymar, Borges

Diego is now...for friendlies?Much rather see us preparing for the world cup and the olympics rather than for friendlies in which the results dont matter. We already have dinho,no need for more older players...

And yes he was player of the brasileirao and then sucked until now, thats what i was trying to say.

he only sucked at Athletico Mineiro..cuz Athletico Mineiro sucked. Diego Souza isn't even that old.. he's like what.. 27?

Lucas has 3 years to get prepared for World Cup and has half a year to prepare for Olympics.. I think starting Diego Souza will have no repercussions on Lucas's development within the NT.

Lucas already barely gets playing time

3 positions for hulk, dinho, neymar, robinho, ganso, lucas, hernanes, oscar(?) and soon kaka if he keeps it up.We are fine the way it is,i still think calling him up isnt needed unless he keeps this form until next season...same with cyborges
