lol Cristina.

This is very shameful. Is it so hard to make sure a stadium works before bringing an interntaional friendly to it?

AFA

CONMEBOL says they will rechedule El Super Clasico De Las Americas.. and also here's something I ran by today.

Mano criticizes AFA and says fans were disrespected.

I agree with him. Here's an English translation of his statements:

"I hadn't undergone this for a long time, the last time was probably a youth game in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul state. Soccer's image has been harmed. The fans are the most important part of the game and they were disrespected by AFA's decision to take the game to a stadium which did not offer conditions for a game of this standard. It is not correct to submit the visiting team to a situation like this and obviously fans must not be made to wait for a game that never happened. The game surely would've helped us evaluate the players and it was frustrating to travel all the way there for a game that ended up not occurring."

A youth game in the boondocks... that's where you can expect a blackout. But not a game w/ Brazil!

As of this writing, I've seen no news that either AFA or the Argentine government made any statements to CBF showing any regret or remorse. Brazil's players wasted time and money; their clubs were deprived of their players at a critical juncture in the Brazilian championship; an important chance for Mano Menezes to evaluate players for future matches was wasted; and, as if that wasn't bad enough, the very poor province of Chaco, whose 2012 budget is USD12.106 mm, was hit with a cost of ARS 5mm (USD 1.026mm). Those of you who live in the United States, imagine a disaster costing your state 1/10th of its annual budget! This is what Cristina Kirchner's nationalization of her country's soccer has caused.

Neymar almost made a Maradona-esque run, and nearly capitalized on it.. Desabato and Neymar's bad touch on the final ball let him down

Brazil has better talent, better players in ALL positions compared to Argentina yet they can't beat us. They suck as a team and they have for some time. Even the last game, we nearly drew, were it not for a stupid handball in the 90th minute the box.

You may have won the cup, but consider that you won it against a pretty inferior side (in terms of talent) and ON PENALTIES
