Re: The Stretford End
I'm pleased with what I heard, I thought Woodward came across well there.
I'm also pleased to know that we have no fixed budget, and that we are still in the hunt to buy the best players we possibly could.
The fact that we have endless funds is brilliant, but whether we land our intended targets is another matter.
Still, I can't fault what I saw.
Thanks for posting that, BB.

Re: The Stretford End
my sides
Poor Welbz
I feel kinda bad for him, people are expecting to become something he's not. I think he'll do better than Giroud (which is why I didn't want us to sell to Arsenal), but he won't be RvP mk.II (which is why I could get over us selling him).

Re: The Stretford End
I like the lad. I shouldn't want him to do well because he is playing for a rival, but I was wanting him to score so badly against City and today against BvB too.
He's been hyped to ridiculous levels by the media and by many Arsenal fans, especially after his brace against the Swiss. People need to calm down and realise that Danny's biggest problems have always been scoring. He lacks composure in the box when it comes to decisive moments in a match. It's like his brain freezes and he panics.
Today's match v BvB, he had 3 clear chances in a high profile game to get the goal but flopped. That's him in a nutshell and why LVG thought he wasn't good enough for United.

Re: The Stretford End
Watched the Liverpool game last night (who were awful ), but caught the extended highlights of the Arsenal game and watched the full City game. I think his play outside of the box is fantastic, but when he gets inside the box it's where it all falls apart. I think the chances where he doesn't have to think he does well with. He obviously has the technique scored some great goals for us, Man City volley, Chip vs Swansea come to mind. So it's a mental thing imo.

Re: The Stretford End
It's always been the case with him. He lacks any composure at the top level. Remember against Bayern at OT last season, when he was through on goal and instead of rounding Neuer, he shat himself and attempted a timid chip
That's Welbeck in a nutshell.

Re: The Stretford End
Solksjaer sacked by Cardiff today.
Feel for him. He took a job that had a lot of internal problems, money wasted on scrubs by Makaay, a team in freefall. Just too much chaos at the time.
I hope his rep doesn't take damage from it because I do feel he has the makings to be a top manager.

Re: The Stretford End
Won't be the first manager to get sacked, and then do well at another club. Cardiff have a lot of controversy surrounding the club the change of club colours, crazy owners, a sexist/racist/homophobic ex-manager. Next time, I hope he picks a better club and one where he preferably doesn't' start mid-season too. He is one of the real nice guys in football, Giggs did an interview a few weeks back, saying Solskjaer would invite his grandparents for tea. So, I hope he does well, plus he's obviously a club legend.
I'm also not sure what will happen with Daehli now, he follows Solskjaer where ever he goes, but that doesn't seem like a great plan when managers leave and go so quickly. I think he should comeback to us, and we can loan him out to what ever club Solskjaer manages. At worst, if he doesn't make it here he gets to go to a decent EPL club, being a United reject is better than a Cardiff reject after all. I don't think he will fail anyway, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Re: The Stretford End
I think Ole perhaps overestimated his abilities as a manager before taking a struggling team in the PL. Nothing wrong with having faith in yourself, but Cardiff was just not the right club to manage for him. As stated, the club was in freefall.

Re: The Stretford End
this is a disgrace. Lvg is struggling to encapsulate all his attacking players at the same time into the starting 11, we are losing games even though we now score 3-4 goals quite regularly , and yet what you see is people supporting the club asking to further bolster our attacking firepower !!! Utter disgrace. ronaldo or not we do not need an attacker anymore.

Adorable moment United-mad tot breaks down at having to wear new blue school uniform
Manchester United fan Lilly Rae Doyle was inconsolable over having to wear blue, the colour of Reds’ bitter arch-rivals, when she starts St Elizabeth's RC Primary School in Wythenshawe
This is the adorable and heartbreaking moment a United-mad tot broke down in tears at the prospect of having to wear blue when she starts school.
Lilly Rae Doyle is set to start St Elizabeth’s RC Primary School in Wythenshawe on October 20, but was left distraught after finding out her new uniform was the colour of her beloved Reds’ bitter arch-rivals.
Despite the best efforts of mum Faye Cummins and her partner Andrew Mitchell to persuade little Lilly Rae that United often wear a blue away strip, she remains inconsolable at her new attire.
The video shows the first time the three-year-old tried on the uniform and she can be seen repeatedly tugging on the Royal blue cardigan and crying “I don’t like blue, I want to get if off”.
Faye, 28, a bank worker, from Benchill, Wythenshawe, said she wasn’t surprised by her daughter’s reaction.
She said: “I knew she wasn’t going to be happy. She just loves United, she is such an avid fan and loves everything to do with them. It’s always United, United, United.
aww. A proper red. That passion for the team for someone so young.
