Suggestion for my Serie A thread/the prediction game Empty Suggestion for my Serie A thread/the prediction game

Post by Lord Spencer Thu Sep 15, 2011 3:20 am

The title says it all really;

Anyway, I want suggestion I can make to improve my review of the Serie A weekend.

Meanwhile, here is a game:

Predict the outcomes of these matches:
the Rules:
1- You can either put a basic result (team A wins, or Draw) and get one point if correct.
2- You can put a scored result and get 3 points if correct.
3- There are special games indicated by * where the points double.
4- The one with the highest gets his name as "poster" Cesar in all of the participants sigs for a week.

the games are:

Cagiliari vs. Novara
Inter vs. Roma *
Atalanta vs. Palermo
Bologna vs. Lecce
Catania vs. Cesena
Lazio vs. Genoa *
Parma vs. Chievo
Siena vs, Juventus
Udinese vs. Fiorentina *
Napoli vs. Milan *

Maybe its just me, but I wouldnt mind if the discussion about each match was a tad bit longer.

Maybe you made it a nice readable yet informative length, which I called perfect, so nobody could be "too lazy" to read. But me personally, I dont mind a longer read. Though if I was you I wouldnt change it unless you get more then just one person suggesting it.

I watch most of them. So I wouldn't go in depth at something I only skimmed through.

I download what I don't directly watch using Google search. (would appreciate any credible match downloading site)

leemhuis wrote:i play totocalcio with a friend in Italy. You say 1 if the home club to win, x if a draw and 2 if the visit team to win.

1 point if you predict correctly the result (win, lose, draw)

Example: if you predict Milan win against Napoli you get 1 point if Milan wins

3 points if you correctly predict the score.

Example: if you predict Milan win 3-2 against Napoli you get 3 points if you are correct, 0 if you are not

you can only predict numericaly or qualitatively one each match, although you can mix it around.

I would do it, but I don't watch all PL games, so I cannot pretend to be any expert. I did the Serie A one because I watch about 80% of Serie A matches or skim through most of them.

Anyone can volunteer to make an EPL thread.

As I don't have the time to watch games from both leagues.

Anyway guys, if any of you missed my firs Serie A thread, you should go check it out and give me some feedback.

One suggestion would be not mentioning the zeroes of the week.

Not saying thats a bad thing but sometimes the club fans(from the zero of the week) could pick that out and start concentrating on that which could derail the thread.

Just mention the heroes( or however u name the best players ) of the week initially and after debating then could update with the zeroes of the week?

Just a suggestion though.Otherwise the thread last week was a great read.

Maybe a link to, say, SkySport's Serie A table, so everyone can conveniently check out how the results of that week have affected the table?

Its hard to predict Roma-Inter. Will be a concentration of mistakes, stupidity and panic there. Advice everyone to watch, and learn about ''whats Tiki Taka without high-quality players and zero chemistry'' and ''3 defenders do not work and Zarate is Pandev 2.0"

Good, keep the prediction coming lads.

Also, I am noting all your suggestions.

For the in depth debate, I a going to make it for the top matches like Inter vs. Roma and Napoli vs. Milan. Maybe even Udinese vs. Fiorentina.

Although, I would put that analysis under spoilers so that casual readers would not flee the article from its length.
