28/09 Bate Borisov - Barcelona (CL Group)
Barca's away record against Russian and East European sides is not exactly stellar.

What in the world, BATE has a gigantic stadium, capacity of 5402
EDIT: scratch that, it will be played in Minsk, Dynama Stadium, capacity of 40k.

Away from home in a tricky party of Europe, I think we should play 4-3-3... take no risks. We've already drawn, its important we don't go away and leave holes at the back. These teams have shown they bring their A game in these big games and we've got to win this one.
I dunno exactly who will play, but I'm not too concerned. Would like to see Fontas though...

Re: 28/09 Bate Borisov - Barcelona (CL Group)
Filipp Rudik is one funny mofo.
Asked why was he looking forward to the Wednesday encounter, Rudik said, “Because I have never met creatures from outer space before“.
Uefa.com didn’t downplay Rudik’s tag of “creatures from outer space“, elaborating that Guardiola and his players were received in Belarus, where they arrived on Tuesday, “with the level of awed excitement one might expect from a confirmed alien landing“. The fan following for the La Liga side was confirmed when the 39,600 tickets on sale for the match in the Dinamo stadium in Minsk were sold out with five days to spare. Meanwhile, Rudik was glad to report that he had managed to get a few.
“It is what I really needed,” said the 24-year-old player. “I wanted to play against Barcelona and luck was on my side in the draw. Now my old team-mates from Novopolotsk [former club FC Naftan Novopolotsk] all owe me; I still haven’t got any money from them, but that’s OK because I have their tickets and they won’t get into the ground without me.”
The Belarusian international came up with more humour when asked how his team planned to confront a side which is hailed by many as one of the best in history. Rudik was happy to share his team’s tactics. “We’ll kick the ball out of play and hope for the best,” he joked. ”Let’s see if we can get the ball into their half first.” Dropping the reverential Barca hat he had donned, he added, “I promise it will be an interesting match. I won’t say we will definitely win, but maybe Barça will underestimate us. We’ll see what we’re capable of against such great opponents. It’s a huge experience for us and we’ll give it all we have got.”
While Barca come straight from a 5-0 demolition of Atletico Madrid, the reigning Belarus champions managed only a 1-1 draw at home against FC Belshina Bobruisk. But Rudik said that the result wouldn’t hinder his side’s spirits and that they would give it their all. “We cannot be too down,” said Rudik. “We just started to conserve energy for the Barcelona game a bit early.”
Cules may know little of Rudik and his teammates but one thing that they can expect of them is that they all will be eagerly awaiting for the final whistle to exchange shirts with the Barca players and especially with a certain Lionel Messi. “I haven’t decided who I want to swap with, but at least half of our lads want his shirt,” said Rudik.
Showcasing his awe earnestly, Rudik said, “It will be something new for me. I have never met big footballing stars. Naftan [his former club] played [KAA] Gent in summer 2009 but maybe our shirts were so horrible that the Belgian players refused to swap with us.” We are certain that the Barca players won’t be so rude.

Ban him. We don't troll on Madrid forums, why should they come here and do it(we don't even go there in the first place)?
On another note, Keita as DM= no guaranteed win for us...anything else, I can't see any other result but a win

Re: 28/09 Bate Borisov - Barcelona (CL Group)
Anyway, should be an asy game though we can't take it too light. Love to see Fontas have a go. Barca Blaugranes Blog give the guy give him such a hard time saying that he should be transferred to another club or can't even play but he is quite a good player and remember that he has been promoted this season so he won't just be stunning intinctly.
My Line Up: Valdés, Alves, Mascherano, Puyol, Maxwell/Adriano, Thiago, Fabregas, Xavi, Villa, Messi, Pedro
I think Pep will give Abidal a rest and possibly Mascherano. Thiago will come on though I would liek to see Ceunca have go for a couple of minutes.

His second goal was fantastic how he can get so much power off so quickly. Already Barcelona's 2nd highest scorer ever, what a landmark.

Re: 28/09 Bate Borisov - Barcelona (CL Group)
I thought Adriano would have played at LM and Maxwell at LWB but that didn't happen. Playing defensively when your 1 nil down is a bad option and BATE payed for it with another 2 goals. The BATE keeper was pretty ordinary and made a dreadful mistake that let Messi head the ball in an empty goal.
A good game though I thought they would be more challenging for a team that is rated as a 'C' team. Milan only won 3-0 against the 'D' team of the group so we are on top of the group. Good luck for next game in La Liga!

Regardless of the scoreline, I thought we could have been much better. A lot of missed chances and had we been on our game we could have hit double digits.
