The sickest player I have seen individually is ofc Messi. His movement is just inhuman.

The greatest to have played the game.Perfect in every sense of the word.
The best technique ever.The most versatile player ever.Outstanding dribbler.
Outstanding passer.Great goalscorer.Inspirational captain.And the greatest football brain ever.
Johan Cruyff against Argentina 74.The man literally played everywhere on the pitch in that match.Showed what Total Football is all about.One of the greatest displays I have seen and on the biggest stage.

Maybe it seems unfair to
Exclude some of the greatest names
Such as: maradona, cruyff, maldini etc. But
Selecting just one player
Is really easy

I already wrote my opinions. Never seen pele play so i dont personally know how good he is

they will be at the status of legendary, there is no doubt about it
there are no 2 players who constantly battle each other in each game they play
they are what the Pele vs Maradona of our time, the truth of the matter is, we get to see them both at the same time is a privilege

but on to the real question
the first game I saw was Juve vs Real Madrid 1998(5 yrs old at the time)
and the player on the opposing team was a french fellow
his name was Zidane, noone, I have seen who had that sort of control over the ball. It was like they spoke the same language.
ofcourse there is obviously the Pele, Maradona, Di Stefano etc...
but to me there is seriously noone like Zidane

loool. They certainly are not. Messi is the unquestionable best atm and Xavi is second best. Ronaldo has a reputation for not performing in big games, whether true or not is by the by. Messi is already one of the greatest. There is a reason why even in Ronaldos best seasonss maradona and pele where never mentioned. Messi is on his own atm.
