Got revenge on Afghanistan in the opening match of T20 World Cup. Absolutely destroyed them. I was there, I'll post pics soon.

So nobody's talking about how good Australia's test team has been recently.
They've totally dispatched England in the Ashes series and came to SA, the number 1 test team in the world, and beat them very respectfully in a 3-match series.

Mitchell Johnson, of course has been the standout over this period of Australian recent success. Batsman all over the world are fearing him atm. Especially when you play him on a lively pitch.

They've made some great strides over the past few months. Now their next tests will be to beat sides like Pakistan and India on their own soil. If they do that, they won't take long to become number one test team in the world again.

PS: their ODI and T20 teams are also brimming in confidence atm.
Good time for Australian cricket.

The Aussie are pretty good, but i wouldn't put too much hype into the result. The SA team was ill prepared to take on a team that has been playing non stop for the last couple of months, SA only played 4 test's compared to the Assies 13 in 12 months lol

I cant help but think West Indies with their spinners and big-hitters look good to retain the trophy imo.

I think we're all but through to the semis imo.Just need to beat Bangladesh(which we will) and avoid heavy defeat to Australia and we're through.

Dint watch the Pak-Aus game but looks like Aus got pummeled.Not totally sure if they can make semis now.Both us and Windies on their day are perfectly capable of beating them.

No doubt in my mind South Africa will walk away as the champions, we have the best bowlers and best batsmen. The other team's aren't in our league tbh.

If we go by recent history,Sri Lanka are bigger bottlers than SA.

ICC World Cup 2007 final-LOST
T20 WC 2009 final-LOST
ICC World Cup 2011 final-LOST
T20 World Cup 2012 final(Host Country)-LOST

And they were favorites to win two of those above competitions atleast.

They've been on a finals losing spree in a few other important tournaments too.Only this year they managed to break the duck in the Poverty Cup(Asia Cup).

Australia played two,lost two. Laughing

West Indies is their bogey team it seems.I think Australia are all but out of the competition.

India will secure one semi-final spot and the other spot will come down to the game between West Indies and Pakistan(since they have Bangladesh to play) so that would mean both teams would be on 2 wins each.

Wow,Sri Lanka scored 120 and bowled out New Zealand for 60.They're through to the semis now.

So this means India will be facing South Africa in the semis.The winner of the West Indies-Pakistan game tomorrow will face Sri Lanka in the other semi-final.

They conceded way more runs than they should've.

At one point West Indies were 84-5 from 15 overs.Bravo and Sammy belted them in the last 5 overs including Ajmal who conceded like 30 odd runs in his last 10 balls.

So Sri Lanka vs West Indies in the semis it is then.India play South Africa in the other semi.

Defending champs West Indies still in it Proud

Wouldnt mind seeing them winning this tournament again.

All I can say about Australia is that they've never really had that right blend in their T20 teams. Just wait for the Cricket World Cup 2015.
Home territory and a good, improving team should see them winning it imo.
