Alonso's long balls are almost always through balls as well. Usually towards wingers/advancing full backs. His % is pretty high I'm sure despite the difficulty of his passes.

Xavi's stat is still awesome though.

Yeah, thinking more about this subject I think Alonso tries some hard ones. For me, some of them are ill-advised, but yeah, he does try and play people into dangerous areas with them which would lead to a lower %.

I dont have a Long pass stat to compare them two

But Xavi's overall Passing success this season is 94% compared to Alonso's 88.5%

Zealous getting all warm and cozy with the Barca section just incase Madrid lose

I love the Madrid section but the natural calm in this section is very appealing

Yeah pretty much agree. But like I said we play lightning quick after we recover the ball so it's natural that some passes are ill advised.

Barca are safer, calmer and more calculated on the ball, while Madrid is a bit more gung ho and adventurous.

Xavi is still pretty awesome, you don't misplace 4 out of 101 long passes and not be awesome.
