That would suck horribly for us.

Alves-Pique-Silva-Abidal and Puyol coming back sometime.... that's just an insane defense.

Why don't we try and actually make a blockbuster buy that makes sense for once? Shouldn't we be trying to buy Silva ffs?!?!?!?!

He just signed a new contract extension. I really don't see this happening, he's been immense for Milan.

THIAGO SILVA reveals he rejected Barcelona for Milan stay.

The Brazilian had a fantastic season with Milan, establishing himself as one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment. His excellent performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Europe champs Barcelona.

Barca made a move for the player, but Silva now admits that he told them no because he wants to stay.

“I’ve been in contact with Barcelona; I told them that I feel connected to Milan and that I want to stay here,” he said. “If Barcelona really want me, then they first have to talk directly to Milan. I’m happy here at Milan.”

Thiago Silva returned to Fluminense after failing in Europe in 2006 and moved to Milan in 2009.

“It’s too early to return to Brazil, because I’m very close to the peak of my career. I hope that I can end my career at Fluminense. It’s my dream and I hope that I can achieve it,” the 26-year-old continued.

“I’ve talked with Seedorf and he wants to play in Brazil. I think he will go there after the next season.”

Thiago Silva also said that he wants his #33 shirt to be retired after he’s gone.

Thank you for setting it straight. Brilliant player that I see being a Milan talisman in the future. AC Milan and their fans must think they are spoiled considering the truly gifted players that have played in their backline in the last 20 years.

I recall reading that in various reports. Words are just that, but you get the feeling he was sincere when he said it (at least I do).
