Spain's Replacement For Villa - Page 3 Empty Re: Spain's Replacement For Villa

Post by Le Samourai Thu 15 Dec 2011, 23:29

LLorente.

He can add alot to the team......it sacrifices the width Villa brings them but adds areial presence and finishing.......and chances are gonna be created no matter whom you play behind him.Negredo is too areial.......Negredo is too areial and bulky......he's not Peter Crouch...but he's also not as proficient at using his feet as Llorente.

Soldado would make an excellent Ole Gunner Soljasker type substitute who just nicks a goal out of nowhere if you need it.

Fabregas is an opton if Barca decide to pursue it this season but I don't prefer it.

If Torres is back in form it goes without question that he starts but as of now he dosen't even deserve to be in the squad

Also Cuenca should be nowhere near the National team.........there are 2 levels of beter players at his position still not assured of making the team......Thiago Alcantara being one of them.

Callejon on the other hand is a forwad..........I can't say that there are many players......Villa being out.......who do his particular job better than him except well Pedro......so hopefully Pedro get's playing time...if Pedro is ready to go i wouldn't take Callejon

Cuenca isn't really a second division player, show some bloody respect. Just because he plays for a rival team doesn't mean his performances should be disregarded. Cuenca, if he continues to show the same form as he has this season, could potentially make the squad, and might not be Villa's replacement. Llorente is a good shout.

Cuenca is still 20, his first season at first team ( yet to be promoted) he's a pure winger (different to most of Barca forwards) this is why he's a big addition, he's not a goal scorer he is a provider, although he can score!
Gd Dribbler, with very gd crosses, great workrate also..
he can't replace Villa, cuz he plays a different role..

Ontopic: i don't think anyone can replace Villa at spanish NT currently, Villa always shines in Big matches/tournament, he played a very important role that helped Spain reaching Euro 2008 final, WC 2010 final and win them..
51goals in 82 matches for Spain !! ( Spanish alltime topscorer, will not be easy to replace)..

anyway, Villa will comeback & play in the Euro.

Villa is not a machine BTW.

We don't know how he will come back afterwards.....this is a serious injury and he may never be the same again.

But Of course everyone here thinks...well he's out for 5 months.....in 5 months he'lll come back a world beater immediately. It dosen't work that way.

Spain have nothing to worry about.

If they do, then that means that there is something very wrong with the team.

Soldado without a doubt.

I like how before he played with los Blancos nobody mentioned, now he is worthy of our NT? Come on

They should play Silva as a false 9 (like Messi) to replace Villa.

Try harder to do what? Cuenca, a segunda player is having a better season than Callejon. fact.

that segunda player has benched villa lol(however villa has contributed more to the team)

callejon a bench player with 3 starts has done more than that horse face in seven starts

People acting as if formation is everything.Spain almost plays a wicked 4-2-2-2,more specific a left sided one.Del Bosque has a history of benching better players for tactics matters and i completely agree with that,it has worked for him.Villa has been absolutely awful infront of goal so changing tactics or replacing him might work wonders for the team.Villa as a LW worked at first because none knew what to expect from him,now thats not the case.

What's your obsession with starts? If you want to use a real statistic that actually tells you something use minutes played, not starts

ok, 1118 minutes played for the horse face 2 goals and 3 asissts

http://scores.nbcsports.msnbc.com/liga/players.asp?player=102448

330 mins played for callejon and he has 6 goals and no assists

http://www.realmadridstats.com/minutes.html

however way you look at it, that horse face is waaaaaaaay inferior to callejon

Callejon is comfortably better than Bojan and cuencea and he might get a call up if villa is absent for euros, not as a starter of course but might make squad ahead of all these overrated youngsters.
