Ganso has deceived me.

He has been whining at Santos since he got injured last year. He says we didn't value him enough to offer him a deal as good as Neymar's, as if we weren't sure he'd ever be good again after this serious injury.

Most of you know the story. Unlike his great friend Neymar, Ganso keeps talking about Europe. Fair enough he has the right to want to do so. But then he returns to the pitch, and quickly gets injured again because Santos weren't patient enough to introduce him back little by little. And when he returns again, his form goes to shit. Seleção, Santos, he was just useless. Suddenly people stopped talking about him. It was all about Neymar for once, Ganso must've gotten really depressed. Then he gets injured again, the poor boy, without having had the chance to actually recover.

Then, finally, he returns for the thousandth time, and starts to get better with his performances.

Later on, in November, when Santos announced their 100th anniversary project for next year, he spoke at a press conference for the first time in months as a Santos player, together with Neymar and Pelé, and said positive things about apossible contract renewal. Our club president started to talk, and both sides seemed inclined to finally make the new deal, raise his paycheck, and keep him here for at least one more year.

All was good, Ganso was back both on and off the pitch.

However, already in Japan, just a few days before our CWC semi-final against Kashiwa, Ganso angered many fans, including the one who's creating this thread, by saying "Santos have deceived me."
The story? He'd decided to sell the only 10% of his rights that he actually owned, and on his contract it said that Santos, owner of 45%, was to be given the first choice. But, according to him, we didn't care about it (what?), we weren't interested, so instead he sold it to DIS, the company that owns the other 45%, the same one who'd been filling his head with shit earlier this year, trying to get Santos to lower his price tag so that he could be sold and they could profit from it.

The Santos president came out and said that it was bs, that Santos had never been offered the 10%, and this was just one more dirty trick used by DIS to get things their way. Obviously, their timing had been planned, right before Santos' 2 most important matches of the year. They had done it before, earlier this year, trying to create some confusions right before some important matches at the Libertadores. Those dirty son of bitches. The president said he would go to court to fight for the 10%, and Ganso, realizing what big crap he'd just made, avoided talking about it any further with the press.

Here's the twist:

Now, after two alright performances at the CWC in Japan, Ganso arrives at the airport in Brazil, and do you know what he's got to say about the whole thing?
Oops, "the sale [of the 10%] hasn't really been finalized. It's something that still needs to be negotiated with Santos." And then he said it again: "It wasn't really a sale, it was a pre-deal. But now we need to sit down with the Santos board to finish the rest."

What.the.f*ck?

Basically, he went on national television to say that Santos had let him down because we weren't interested in buying his 10%, making the president have to come out himself and say that they hadn't heard anything about it, and that he'd be willing to go to court to unmake the deal. He lied, and he lied about Santos the institution.

Now why the f did he go and do that, right before the semi-final, when all players and fans needed to focus on was the match?

I blame DIS for manipulating him like a doll, but Ganso also is to blame for allowing himself to be manipulated like a brainless person. What a kid. When he performs, he really is good, and I'd like him to stay for that. But a player that is constantly complaining about his club for no reason is not worthy of Pelé's number 10.

He better wise up or go flop in Europe.
