Gonzalo Higuain vs Sergio Aguero

We get enough of the Pipa vs Benz debate. How about vs. Aguero?

This was posted in the transfer rumors thread.

Both have played in Spain since the 2006/2007 season (Aguero played the full season in his first year whereas Higuain only played half the season)

Note they are both the same age (23)

Their Spanish career totals:

Aguero

234 Appearances
102 Goals (0.44 goals a game)
37 Assists (0.16 assists a game)

Higuain

166 Appearences
77 Goals (0.46 goals a game)
26 Assists (0.16 assists a game)

I would be interested to see minute stats because I'm assuming that they would be in Higuain's favor.

Theres a reason Higuain when fit starts for Argentina and Aguero does not

Anyone who has seen Aguero play knows that he is the better player in this case.

So then to Crimson's point why doesn't he start over Pipa for the nt team?

Why does everyone think that just because you can dribble the ball your automatically better than another player who plays in a different way....

I never understood that

Simply becouse Higuain is a 9 striker. He is a poacher and there is none in the NT that plays similair. And in Agueros case, Messi and Tevez plays the same way as him, and there is no way in hell he is getting a place in the NT over Messi. Same with Tevez, even he doesnt have a place in the NT and he is WC

Aguero isn't better becouse he dribbles. He is a team player, good game sense and passes etc. Very similair to Messi imo

It depends on what your team needs. If you don't want another ball hogger and some height presence in the box=Higgy for Argentine
If you want a ball hogger to wreak havoc in the opposition defense and score / create a chance= Kun*
So far, you're statistic is flawed in two most important parts. Kun* isn't just a poacher and he never had a support cast comparable to Higgy's
All in all the thread is BS

I think the sheer fact that Aguero had a vacant role at Atletico to fill and got lots of playing time at a lesser quality team compared to Higuain's pushing himself into the starting 11 at Real is significant in itself.

they are prob gonna play a formation benfitting aguero. and pipa will NOT BE 100 PERCENT

if we get aguero though it will be nice to brag about that we will have 3-4 of the attack of what many call the best attack in world

Argentine need Higgy even more than Messi. They have tons of player who could dribble or create but only 3 poachers: Higgy, Militto and Lisandro Higgy is the best of course
