Naingolan plays as part of a 3 man midfield for Cagliari (a 4-3-1-2)

Its usually Cossu that plays the AM/TQ role behind the front 2 forwards, not Naingolan.

So yes, we have seen Naingolan in a CM role regularly (and not an AM as you are suggesting), ever since he came from Piacenza.

And because Giovinco had 6 bad games 3 years ago means he cant play there now? even still, his playmaking abilities are far superior to Naingolan, based purely on his vision and playmaking ability.

Naing is a good strong hard working central midfielder

radja played AM for Pianceza he didn't play like that for Cagliari because of Cossu and sometime sLazzari. Gio is not AM he doesn't have the strength or anything needed to be AM he tried it many times he flopped

I don't think Gio is fit for the TQ role behind to forwards. He flopped in that role when replacing Diego for a reason. If he is double marked he is taken out of the game and the most he can do then is draw fouls.

Anyways back on topic, he looks pretty good from what i've seen. I would have no complaints in him over Pizzaro. A vice for Pirlo nonetheless and one that looks to have a somewhat promising future.

Theres not doubt that Giovinco is not the best in the TQ role because of his physical characteristics and is more suited to the SS role BUT he STILL clearly has better playmaking skills than naingolan. Naingolan = CM; Gio = SS. BUT If i had to pick one of them as a AM/TQ - itd def be Giovinco

Naingolan is a hardworking CM who can do pretty much anithing, a la Marchisio/Inler

Giovinco is a creative attacking player who's main skills are dribbling, creating, FK's, and lately even scoring.

The fact that Nainggolan played AM doesn't mean thats his natural position and he can do it better than Gio.

Nainggolan so far wasn't given space but when the ball was at his feet 4/4 completed passes and he dribbled 4 players ours

Better in the 2nd half

Would expect more than 4 passes from the CM - he was frozen out of the game in the 1st half...not convincing.

what should he do even messi wouldn't have more if played under that pressure in Cagliari. Nainggolan is great player there is reason why half europe chases him

if I remember well Giovinco plays AM at Parma and thrives very well there, don't know what you guys are on....

Actually Gio plays in the hole as SS behind one striker in a 4-4-1-1 at Parma not AM

Comparing Naing to Messi in the same sentence is shameful.

Face the fact that Naingolan did not have a good game. Half the football transfer gurus were watching him Im sure, including Juve - he did not help his case at all.

I would not sign him at all, and DEFINITELY not for 15m as some ppl here suggest, based on that showing.

Hes got talent no doubt... he needs to show it in the games against big teams. You cant disappear when you are playing the big teams and expect a transfer to happen.

wtf are u talking about? Nainggolan showed his talent in all of the big games ffs yesterday he did his job he was skipping between 4 players of ours what more he needs to do lol

What more does he need to do? He needs to be a midfield boss (which is what is needed of a true CM), which last night, he wasnt at all.
